A few days had passed, and for once, there was a semblance of calm in the camp. The 100 were working together—an uneasy but functional unity. Some gathered rations for the approaching winter while others ventured out on hunts. The radio, miraculously still operational, provided a tenuous connection to their lives on the Ark, with each delinquent taking turns to speak to their families.

In the med tent, Iris and Finn remained on bedrest, their injuries keeping them tethered to the same space. The arrangement had proven comforting, though unspoken tensions lingered in the air. Raven and Mia had taken on the role of their caretakers, rarely straying far from the tent.

It was early morning when Clarke entered, carrying her usual calm authority. She balanced a small tray of bandages and antiseptic as she greeted them.

"Morning, guys," she said, flashing a faint smile before kneeling beside Finn. "How are you feeling?"

"Weak. Bored," Finn replied with a sigh, his eyes darting to Raven before settling on Clarke. "But grateful to be alive."

Clarke returned his gaze, nodding. "If you want to stay that way, you'll keep resting. No heroics."

Raven smirked, leaning against a nearby crate. "If he doesn't, I'll tie him down myself."

Her quip hung in the air, met with silence. Finn's lingering gaze on Clarke made the atmosphere heavy, and Iris exchanged a knowing look with Mia. It didn't take a genius to notice the tension—or the way Finn's affections for Clarke still clung to him, despite everything.

Clarke moved to Iris next, her tone softening. "You're healing up nicely. How are you feeling?"

"Pretty good. Just... bored," Iris replied, brushing her hair out of her face.

"And your heart?" Clarke pressed, her voice edged with concern. The stress from Iris's injury had aggravated her already fragile condition.

Iris hesitated, but Mia jumped in before she could downplay it. "It acted up a few times last night," she admitted, glancing at Iris.

"But less than before," Iris quickly added, shooting Mia a look that was half grateful, half exasperated.

Clarke nodded, her expression serious. "That's still something to monitor. I'll be out of camp for a while today—can you two handle their bandages in a few hours?"

"Where are you going?" Finn and Iris asked in unison, their concern almost comical if not for the underlying worry.

"It's an assignment from the Ark. Nothing major," Clarke replied, keeping her tone light.
