A massive storm battered the camp, heavy rain drenching the ground as fierce winds howled through the trees. Everyone was crammed into the dropship for shelter, tension hanging thick in the air.
Clarke paced anxiously between Finn and Iris, her face taut with worry. Both of them lay pale and still, their injuries dire.
Raven worked tirelessly, her hands moving with precision as she fought to keep panic at bay. She couldn't lose them—not her boyfriend, nor the girl she was starting to care for in ways she hadn't expected.
"This is Raven Reyes calling Ark Station," she said into the radio, her voice strained but determined. It felt like the hundredth time she'd tried.
Finally, a response crackled through. "This is a restricted channel. Who is this? Please identify yourself."
All eyes turned to Raven, hope flickering in their weary faces.
"This is Raven Reyes," she replied firmly. "I'm from Mecha Station, transmitting from the ground. The 100 are alive. Please, I need Dr. Abby Griffin. It's urgent."
Clarke grabbed the radio, her voice breaking as she spoke. "Mom? Mom, it's me. I need your help!"
"Clarke?" Abby's voice was laced with shock and concern.
Clarke wasted no time. "Two of our people were stabbed by a grounder. They're dying."
A new voice cut through the static, calm and authoritative. "Clarke, this is the Chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?"
"Yes," Clarke confirmed, her tone urgent. "The Earth is survivable, but we're not alone. Mom, please—they're dying. One has a knife in his chest, and the other in her stomach."
At that moment, Iris stirred, her eyes fluttering open. Pain etched across her face as the knife in her stomach made every breath a struggle.
"Okay, Clarke," Abby's voice steadied. "Who's in worse shape?"
Before Clarke could answer, Iris rasped, her voice hoarse, "Finn... Save him first."
Clarke turned to her in shock. "You're awake?"
Iris gave a faint nod, managing a weak smile despite the agony. "Yeah."
"Mom, we'll start with Finn," Clarke said, though her gaze lingered on Iris with growing concern.
The radio crackled again, almost drowned out by the storm raging outside. Octavia burst in, holding two bottles, her face set with determination. Clarke sniffed the contents and grimaced. "Monty's moonshine?"
