Tomorrow i'm meeting up with Zak, Oscar and Lando for the job at McLaren. I already told my boss, Christian what I was thinking about and he told me, he already assumed what would happen.
At least that was clear.

Lando has been more distant with me since he came back from Australia, but I tried to understand him, because he didn't get the best results and was probably still jet lagged.
I still thought he'd speak to me more though.

"Hey babe," I lean on the counter, while he was drinking some water. He nodded, for me to continue "I was thinking if we'd go on a walk to the cliff tonight. Maybe get some ice cream?" I smile and he shrugs his shoulders. "Don't know, I don't feel like it. Sorry..." he walks past me to the bathroom.

That's okay, he's probably still tired. I'll just go alone, it's no big deal.

When the sundown came, I dressed in black leggings and threw a Quadrant merch hoodie on. Picking up my AirPods and phone which I've just charged, I put them in a little bag I'm gonna take with me for my wallet too.

The walk was calm, listening to XXXTentacion while thinking my choices through. The McLaren offer was good, it payed a lot of money, but with the way Lando was acting right now, I was concerned if it would be awkward at tomorrow's meeting.

I even bought myself cookie flavoured ice cream and a blue slushie; I know it's a weird combination, but my body needed it right now.

Was I really making the right decision?

"I can't believe you, Lando! Just because you don't see your girlfriend for five days, doesn't mean you can make out with another girl!" Pietra screamed through the phone. But she didn't understand.
"Please don't tell Amber, it's not what it looked like." I try, but I see her disappointed expression in my mind and she's not even here.

"If you're not gonna tell her, I will. That's all i'm saying. She deserves the truth, she called me and Max at least five times in the past two days, because she's worried about the way you're acting." she sighs and I take a deep breath, gulping down the tears.
"I'll tell her tomorrow, she's having a peaceful day today. I promise." I say and she smiles ends the call.

I fucked up.

I came home at around eleven o'clock and it was dark and silent in Lando's apartment. I didn't want to wake him up, because he needs sleep, especially for tomorrow's early meeting, so I go back to mine and get ready for bed there.
I couldn't wait for my new job anymore.

I woke up at six in the morning and got ready, putting on some low-rise blue jeans and a black tight shirt which exposed just a line of my stomach.
I was thinking about it and maybe it wasn't the most professional piece of clothing I owned, so I changed the shirt for a body that covered my whole upper part.

Lando and I decided to go separate, because I had to be there way sooner than him and he deserves sleep.

When I came there with a taxi, a lady was waiting there for me and lead me to an office where I could sit down and discuss some things with a man named Jake. I didn't know him, it was my first time meeting him, but he was a nice dude.

He had this messy brown curls and some freckles splashed on his cheeks, he reminded me of Simon from Alvin and the chipmunks. Nerdy and smart. Not my type, Lando is better anyway.

When the time came, Zak and Oscar came into the office while Jake left the room. They both sat down and greeted me with a handshake, but all of us were focused on one thing; where was Lando?

"Weren't you supposed to come with Lando?" I asked politely and they nodded. "We were, but he didn't show up, I thought maybe he's here already." I hummed and smiled, but deep down it hurt me.
He knew how much this meant to me, he said it meant to him a lot too! Where was he then?

"Look we can do this without him, the job is practically your already anyway." Zak smiled reassuringly and I agreed with him. I could do this without him.

When we were done, I thanked them for their time and for the job Zak assured me to have; I start this week already! I would be my first time in Japan and I couldn't wait to participate.

Zak told me I had to follow some rules and all of them were logical, I liked logical things, that's why I agreed with him. One of them was I should not be making any differences between Oscar and Lando just because one of them is my boyfriend.

I was thinking about the food I'll eat in Japan and Pietra called me.

"Hey babe! Where're you?"

"I'm just leaving Zak's office, I got to job, P!"

"I told you you'd get it! Was Lando there?"

"Uhm... no. He actually wasn't, even though he should be there. Not just because of me, but because Zak asked him too."

"Shame on him. Did he tell you yet?"

"Tell me what?"

"That's what I thought. Wait there, I'll come get you and we're going to the café."

We talked a bit more, until she got to the car, then ended the call, so I scrolled through my phone.
I didn't bother to message Lando, it was useless anyway.

We sat down at the café and Pietra told me everything. So maybe he wasn't just jet lagged... he was feeling guilty for cheating.

"I fucking hate men!"
