I couldn't believe my eyes.
Eunchae.
Minhyung was there, just a few feet from me.
Eunchae.
Slowly, he walked towards me. And my eyes almost watered.
Is this real? Did I really find him, finally?
"Eunchae!"
I was pulled out of my thoughts at the sound of Jaeyoon's voice beside me. He was waving his hand in front of my face.
"Huh—what?"
"You're spacing out. Minjun's calling you." He said.
Minjun?
I'd only really come to my senses when I saw who it was in front of me, my eyes widening at the realization.
Just like me, Minhyung seemed to be in a daze, staring at my face. As if he recognized me.
As Moon Haneul.
But a second later, he blinked his eyes and shook his head.
"What... what was I saying..." he murmured before glancing at me again. "Oh, right. I said, why didn't you eat breakfast at home?" He asked, rather annoyed at me.
I stared up at him with a confused look.
Why is he asking me that? How did he know that I didn't eat breakfast at home?
"Eomma was worried about you."
Eomma? What?
That's when it hit me, and my eyes widened even more, mouth agape.
"Hello, Eunchae? Why aren't you answering? I said Eomma and Appa were worried about you."
Right. I didn't really examine the pictures on the wall of Eunchae's room as I prepped up earlier, but I do remember seeing a picture of her family with four members.
I didn't really get a good look, how should I know?
But then again, there was that sleeping guy in the next room, in which door I'd opened mistakenly.
"Um... let me get back to you later." I slowly backed up, and when the coast was clear, I ran away from them.
"Wh—Eunchae, come back!"
I didn't come back.
Instead, I continued through the corridors and went to the cafeteria, looking for Haechan.
I wasn't really expecting it, but since it was lunch time, it was worth a try to look for him there. Fortunately, he was there.
His girlfriend was still with him. But I couldn't care less. I had to get him so we could leave this place.
"Haechan!" I shouted, not caring about the people inside the large room. "Haechan, it's me, Haneul!"
Haechan stood up from his seat and spotted me by the entrance.
"Over here!" I jumped and waved.
I saw Haechan leave while his girlfriend called for him.
"Hajoon! Where are you going?"
When he reached me, I then pulled his right hand and we sprinted out of the cafeteria.
We ran towards the school lobby, leaving all cares behind as we escaped the building.
Technically, Haechan and I didn't belong here, so it felt alright to run away from school. When we reached a playground, we stopped and rested for a bit.
