Dana could here the gunshots from the other side of the war zone. A bullet has glazed his arm but other than that he hasn't been shot. His tour was suppose to end 3 weeks ago but they called him in. He knew this was going to end but he never knew when, He heard screaming coming from a building so he ran faster than he really could. He got close to the building but was shot, in the knee.
"Dana? Dana? Damn, Dana we located the sniper. We need all hands to the top roof of the third building on 149th." his walkie talkie buzzed from the gruffly voice coming through the speaker.
Dana tried to get out but was shot once again, in the left shoulder. This time he was down. He was awake enough to feel him getting dragged into a building. "Soldier down. Soldier Down." A deep male voice talked into the walkie talkie.
Dana slowly woke in the dark, cold room. He could hear the drops of rain coming from the roof. He sat up slowly, finally noticing the bloody rag on the table in front of him. He felt dripping on his arm, he looked over and saw the other bloody towel stuck to his left shoulder, he took the rag off his arm and emmedietly felt the pain in his arm.
Dana got up and found a cane in a closet. He walked out of the room and saw nurses, doctors and surgeons. He walked through the long hall way to find his three daughters and his wife waiting in a small room. He hadn't send them for 6 years. He left with his oldest daughters 7, and his youngest 1 and now his oldest were 13 and his youngest is 7.
"Daddy!!! Your Home!!" Sierra and Jordyn, the oldest, ran towards him with little Heaven following them. Dana picked Heaven up and gave her a big long kiss on the forehead. He sat on his knees and gave Sierra and Jordyn, both a kiss on their foreheads. He sat Heaven down at looked at his wife. She was standing in the center of the room, looking as beautiful as Dana has ever seen her. She was crying as she walked over to him.
"Dana." She said with happiness in her voice. He looked at her, wiped her tears and gave her big, long hug. She also had sadness in her voice. "Its all gonna be Ok, Ellen." Dana said softly. "I'm coming Home."
