The morning sun awoke me yet again, piercing my retinas and burning my head. I groan from the pain instead of the blazing sun that practically torched my room. I must've forgotten to cut on the AC last night, "fuck" I groan to myself not wanting to start my day.

It is relatively shocking that the morning sun seems to be provoking hell on Earth, it's usually cooler this time around. What time is it exactly?

I tap my clock to check the time after failing to find my phone- vision stretching wide as I notice it's nearing 4 pm. The booze must've done its numbers on me, I rarely sleep this late in the afternoon. I take a couple of pills and drag to my feet, yawning as I mentally shame myself for sleeping in so much.

After I freshened up, I decided a hot cup of coffee would knock me back into my senses. My job is always the go but now— appearing on an off day is like a suicide mission. Bossman would pester me into hanging around even when it's undue. homemade it is.

I head to my kitchen only to hear shuffling from the living room. I spin fast finding Alec spilled over on the couch snoring like a pig. I wake him with no hesitation and he looks at me confused.
"What are you doing here?" I question.

"Slept over. It's like you've gotten drunker when we came, settled on the company is what you needed" he responds in between yawns.

"Oh don't look at me like that" Alec stands to his feet and full-body stretches. I hadn't noticed I'd looked at him in any way that wasn't optimistic. Alec would do these things even in university when I consumed more than my limit, Sticking around to make sure I stayed in the best shape.

"Despite my expression, I've always appreciated that about you." I chuckle. He smiles at my response and walks my way patting me on the head. Alec bends down, coming eye to eye with me while his hand remains on my crown, and speaks, "Good"

letting go of me, Alec pulls his shoes on his feet and picks up his keys. "Why so soon? I'd just noticed you were here" I frown already feeling as if we don't have enough time before he's soon to head back to university and I remain indecisive.

"Don't worry Avery, I'll see you soon. Gotta make sure your brother hasn't eaten all the bacon from me. Call you later." He says opening the door and looking back at me for confirmation.

I nod in response and he nods back, "Will tell Ash you said hi, love you" He shouts while closing the door behind him as he flees quickly. I chuckle to myself shaking my head as I finish my way to the kitchen.

I sigh as I put the pot of coffee on, noticing my phone lying beside it. Grabbing it instantly, I click Sebastian's name and call him back as I've missed his call yet again.

He picks up on the first ring and you can hear the satisfaction through his hello. "Too much fun last night?" He speaks, almost admitting to the huge grin that sounds through his words.

My tension eases and I nod as if he can see me, "Tell me about it" I yawn, hearing the final drops of my cup of coffee.

"You should tell me about it, it's been so long since we've talked. Since I've seen your pretty face, I'll be off of work in a few hours, come over, please. I miss you" He pleads, not knowing how fast I'll leap to it, how my heart just skipped a beat.

"Do you even have to ask, text me the details," I say before kissing him through the phone and beaming- ending the call.

Sebastian sends the text soon after and I take hold of my fix with the desired ingredients. I sip on my coffee while I eagerly await the time I get to be face-to-face with him again.

Sebastian's address was printed into my GPS and I was already en route, nearly there. His place is a 15-minute drive 'including traffic' which is a relief.
The moment I arrive I make my way up to the door as I just recalled being here, helping Sebastian move some things in. We'd also looked back at this place multiple times because Seb somehow couldn't make up his mind.
