Chapter 21 : The Wrath [1]
Almost two decades have passed since an anonymous organization started an experiment. Its main goal was to make a better world for everyone to live in. A place where no crime or war. A silly dream of a man who was crazy enough to sacrifice hundreds of children just to achieve it.
Halos dalawang dekada na ang lumipas nang magsimulang mawala ang mga bata sa iba’t ibang parte ng bansa. The country turned into chaos just to find those missing children. Yet, no one could tell where they were and what happened to them. It remained unsolved for several years.
Napangiti ang binata na nakasuot ng lab gown habang pinapanood ang pitong batang nasa loob ng mga incubator. Three hundred and forty-one children became part of his experiment, but only seven children survived.
“They are so perfect,” the man said while he was mesmerized by those sleeping children.
“From now on, I’ll be your father.”
Later on, the man named them
after the seven deadly sins.
Yno the Gluttony, Lustre the Lust, Eve the Avarice, Spade the Despair, Acedor the Sloth, Harris the Hubris, and lastly... Alice the Wrath.
“You will be the salvation of this country.”

Habol-hiningang tumatakbo si Brent mula sa abandonadong gusali patungo sa library kung saan karaniwang pinupuntahan nilang magkakaibigan pagkatapos ng klase. Hindi niya alam kung ilang oras siyang walang malay sa loob ng isang lumang silid-aralan. He got caught after witnessing a student killing another using a pipe.
Nais niya sana noong magpahinga sa kakahuyan na nasa loob ng campus. Nakatulog siya at nagising rin nang may dumating na dalawang lalaki. Nakilala niya ang isa na myembro ng baseball club habang ang isa ay mataba at hindi katangkarang lalaki.
The baseball player told the other guy to be careful next time and don’t get on his nerves. The other guy kept saying sorry, but it didn’t calm him. Instead, he took a pipe and began hitting him.
Hindi siya makagalaw sa takot nang makita niyang dumanak ang dugo ng matabang lalaki. Doon lang din tumigil ang lalaki.
“Shit! You stained my shirt again, you fucking pig!” he shouted as he kicked the guy again.
Itinapon niya ang tubo at tinignan ang puting damit na may talsik ng dugo. Sa halip na tignan kung okay lang ang lalaki ay mas inalala pa niya ang namansahan nitong damit.
“Fuck! Magpapalit na naman ako ng damit!”
Sa pagkakataong iyon ay nakaramdam si Brent ng pangamba. D-Did he just beat the guy to death?
He was about to leave when a group of people in black cloaks with hoods, wearing blank masks, suddenly appeared. The baseball player also didn’t expect their arrival. Tatakbo sana ito mula sa kanila ngunit mabilis nilang nagapos ang lalaki at pinatulog.
Napalunok si Brent. Gusto niyang kumaripas ng takbo mula sa pinagtataguan niyang puno ngunit hindi magawang gumalaw ng mga paa niya dahil sa takot. Nanlaki ang mga mata niya nang lumingon ang isa sa kanila sa direksyon niya.
Shit! Nagtama ang mga mata nila!
Bago pa man siya makatalikod para tumakbo ay naramdaman niya ang isang taong nakatayo mula sa likod niya.
