(A/n: I swear this is the end of "Bring your barista to work day", Y/n will have more love interests soon)

Jae-mid

Y/n: Fuck you

Jaemin: I'd fuck me too

Y/n: I am actually about to murder you.

Jaemin: Relax Y/n-ie, I'm helping you.

Y/n: Helping me what? Ruin my life?

Jaemin: No- find love.

Y/n: Ew- with her?!

Jaemin: She seems interested in you, it's not everyday you have an attractive woman begging you to come with her.

Y/n: She's an idiot.

Jaemin: Trust me, I'm helping you.

"Ugh," I say under my breath, I need better friends.

Sana keeps using the mirror to stare at me as she drives. Does she want to talk to me or something?

"Take a picture, It'll last longer." I dryly tell her.

"I'm not looking at you," Sana scoffs and quickly shifts focus to the road.

After a while, we arrive at her company, a sleek building that screams old money. I step out of the car, internally cursing Jaemin for putting me in this situation. Sana leads the way with a confident stride, and I sadly follow.

As we enter, I can't help but notice the curious glances from Sana's employees. She must have quite the presence at her workplace. We head to her office, and she gestures for me to take a seat.

"Look, I didn't plan on spending my day here, so make it quick," I say, trying to assert some control over the situation.

Sana, undeterred, leans against her desk. "You know, you're more interesting than I thought. Most people would kill for a chance to spend time with me."

I roll my eyes at her arrogance. "Well, I'm not most people, and I have better things to do."

Sana raises an eyebrow, seemingly amused. "You're feisty. I like that."

I internally throw up- but maintain a composed exterior. "Yeah, well, I'm not here to entertain you. Why did you really bring me here?"

Sana smirks, enjoying the game. "I have a proposal for you. You work for me, and in return, I'll make sure your little cafe doesn't get crushed by the competition."

I narrow my eyes, skeptical of her intentions. "And what's in it for you? Why would you bother with a small coffee shop?"

She shrugs, an air of nonchalance. "Consider it a whim. I find you intriguing, and having a little pawn in the game could be amusing."

I scoff at her arrogance. "I'm not some pawn for you to play with. I built my cafe from the ground up, and I don't need your help."

"Ground up?" Sana cocks her eyebrow and slides a folder from desk drawer towards me. "I did some research on you Y/n, your parents own multiple hospitals and gave you almost 1 million to start your little shop."

I squint my eyes. Sana's smirk widens, knowing she hit a nerve.

"Surprised?" she taunts. "Your cafe isn't as 'ground up' as you'd like to believe. Daddy's money funded your dream. So, what do you say to my offer now?"

I clench my fists, feeling a mix of anger and embarrassment. I never wanted my family's wealth to define me. "I don't need your help or anyone else's. I'll make it on my own terms."

Sana leans back in her chair, studying me with an amused glint in her eyes. "Stubborn. I like a challenge. But remember, the business world can be cruel. You might regret passing up an opportunity like this."

I stand abruptly, pushing the folder back towards her. "I don't need your pity or your deals. My shop is successful."

As I walk out of her office, I can feel her gaze lingering on me.

"Wait," she says, her tone surprisingly serious. "I might have another proposition—one that doesn't involve your cafe."

I raise an eyebrow, skeptical but curious. "What is it?"

Sana moves forward, her smirk replaced by a more genuine expression. "Be my date for a high-profile corporate dinner next week."

I scoff at the idea of being her date. "You've got to be kidding me. Why would I agree to that?"

"Think about it," Sana smirks. "A powerful CEO entering an event with a charming companion? It's a win-win for both of us.

"How is that even a win for me?"

Sana leans in, her gaze unwavering. "Imagine the exposure. Your face, your story, subtly intertwined with the success of a thriving corporate figure. The media will eat it up. Your cafe will become the talk of the town, and you'll have more customers than you ever dreamed of. All by just being my date for one night."

I hesitate, weighing the potential benefits against the discomfort of playing a role in Sana's corporate game. Finally, I relent, "Fine, but this better not turn into some continual PR stunt."

Sana grins, her eyes glinting with satisfaction.
