"I'm sorry kid, but I'm not gonna let you die like I did your dad."
I never woke up so fast in my life that when my body jolted, I was met by the less then pleasant sensation of glass colliding into my forehead, a less then incentivizing wake up call.
"Motherfucker!" I hissed out, my hand abruptly tending to a no doubt soon-to-be swelling balloon sized bump on my forehead. Call me up Tom and Jerry.
"Oh, good, you're awake! Perfect! We're almost there so I wasn't sure how to wake you up without disturbing you. You seemed like you needed the rest. Did you know you drool when you sleep? It's so human, I love it!," Alice's fluttery voice made me blink a couple of times until all the disorientation faded and I could finally take in my surroundings. I was greeted by the interior of a luxurious car, specifically the Cullen's car, and outside the windows, a blur of streets grazed past us like we were going over a hundred miles an hour. I glanced at the speedometer. Oh, look we were going over a hundred miles an hour.
One of these times, I was gonna die from a car crash due to a vampire's impatience.
Jasper and Alice were in the front, Jasper being the one who was driving like a maniac and Alice who was turned my direction ecstatically draped over the passenger seat, offering me a wide, innocent smile that suggested she and Jasper hadn't just been culprits of an insane kidnapping that was orchestrated by my step-mom.
That bridled frustration I felt? Oh, did it come fueling my insides like a damned off gas-leak.
"Don't be mad," Alice somehow read me easier than Edward, and I raised two incredulous brows so high, I'm sure they got lost somewhere between my hairline and my forehead.
"Are you shitting me right now?" I gestured to my current predicament, being, we were obviously miles away from Forks, and better yet, against my will. I remember everything clearly--I wanted to help, fact I wanted to be the one to storm the city walls, but Kimi had other plans, being, put me on the sidelines, cities away. Far away. As in completely benched.
Like hell was I gonna let that happen.
Alice winced, exchanging a brief look with Jasper before her sights returned to me, and presented me with a jarring smile that anyone would be put into a stupor by, however, since I was pissed, it did anything but piss me off more, "Well, the good news is you're miles away from being a potential snack. We're on our way to the airport," When Alice saw my eyes widen like saucers, she quickly added sheepishly, "Your step-mother thought it would be a good idea to get you as far away from here as possible--she wants you to stay with her dad. Just until they can deal with James and then you can--"
