"Wow, this is so good!" Yuki giggled, kicking her feet as if her feet couldn't reach the ground.

The three Guardians did the errands Kaien sent them to do. For what exactly? Yuki didn't seem to mind as she satisfied her sweet tooth with an ice cream sundae, but Mizuki was a little worried about what was happening before being tasked with errands. Zero wasn't telling her when asked, and Yuki seemed just as clueless.

"I wanted noodle soup," Zero grumbled. They spent the last bit of the money on her sundae, which she ate all to herself. All he got was a cup of tea out of this, and Mizuki assured them she wanted nothing. "Funny how you didn't help with errands and you get rewarded with ice cream."

"Hey, well, you didn't want to be here!" Yuki protested.

Zero sighed and set his cup down on the table. He glanced over at Mizuki, who was staring at him. Her golden eyes fixated on his face for a second before concentrating on his eyes.

"What?" he asked, his heart quickening in pace as embarrassment overtook him.

"What happened earlier?" she asked again, making him sigh. "Did something happen? Why were you leaving the school and letting Yuki follow you out? Mine you, that happened before, and...we all know how that ended up."

Yuki stopped eating for a moment, looking from Mizuki to Zero. When Zero didn't seem like he would not answer, she perked up a bit.

"I don't really know, but our new social studies teacher was introducing himself and then Zero stormed out," Yuki said.

"New teacher?" Mizuki said, almost to herself.

"Yeah. Um... I think he said his name was Toga... Toga..."

"Yagari." The girls looked over at Zero. "His name is Toga Yagari."

Mizuki groaned as she crossed her arms over her chest and sat back in the booth. "So, I'm assuming you know this guy? Why else would you storm off unprovoked?" After a moment, Mizuki suddenly sat up, leaning over to Zero to whisper. "Or do you want to feed again?"

Zero scoffed, rolling his eyes. "No."

"Good. I'm just making sure," Mizuki said, leaning away.

"So, you know the new teacher?" Yuki asked. "I don't know, but he seems a little scary... When did you meet him?"

"Well, he isn't," Zero sighed, shrugging his shoulders. "Yagari was my—"

"Excuse me," a girl said, interrupting their conversation. The girl looked excited as she stared at Zero; sparkles in her eyes. "Are you from the Cross Academy Night Class?" Mizuki looked around, seeing that Zero had caught the attention of other female customers and waitresses.

Yuki tried to cut in on the girl as she rambled on how different Zero looked from everyone else, but Yuki couldn't seem to get a word in. The girls looked over at Zero, who was already grabbing the things Kaien asked them to receive while in town. He stood up.

"There's someone named Aido in the Night Class and he—"

"I'm leaving," he said and turned to leave the restaurant, leaving the waitress confused.

"Come on, Yuki," Mizuki said, standing. "Time to go."

"But! My sundae." Yuki groaned as Mizuki urged her out of the booth.

"I'm sorry," the waitress said, embarrassed. "I didn't mean to intrude on your time here."

"It's all right." Mizuki placed money on the table. "I left a tip," she said, grabbing Yuki's hand and dragging her out. Just as Mizuki went out, she noticed Zero was gone. The items they came into town to get were on the ground.
