FRIDAY | DECEMBER 6
Mizuki buried her face in his chest, engulfing her senses with his scent.
With her ear pressed against his chest, she heard his solid throbbing heart, and her excitement peaked. This natural internal rhythm that belonged to the one she longed for was like music to her ears—so beautiful that it brought tears to her eyes.
"...Mizuki," he said, touching her head to bring her further into his embrace. "I've missed you so much. And by the looks of these pretty tears, you've also missed me." Mizuki looked at him, her brown eyes connecting with his velvet ones. His eyes made her want to sob, but she stayed silent as a tranquil wave came upon her.
"Kaname..." she whispered. He hummed in response, wiping the tears from her cheeks. "I want you to stay with me forever. I don't want you to go back."
She was embarrassed about saying this, letting her bangs hide her face so he wouldn't see it. Kaname chuckled, shocking Mizuki. She looked up at him, surprised to see a broad smile on his adolescent face. It was the first time he smiled this widely. She thought it was beautiful.
Kaname pulled Mizuki close, hugging her tightly.
"I'm so happy. I want to stay with you forever, too," Kaname whispered sweetly, allowing his words to affect her profoundly. Mizuki's face contorted, and more tears spilled out of her eyes...
And she buried her face in his shoulder, so happy that she was complete. She would finally be happy and with someone who aligned with her stars.
A shadow crept over them, blocking the sun from shining on them.

Her eyes opened, meeting the whiteness of the pillow. She blinked a few times, getting a grip on what was happening around her because she swore something loud tore her out of slumber. It took a moment for her to realize that the sound was the loud beeping of her alarm clock.
Mizuki turned slightly on her back, reaching her arm out to her nightstand and hitting the alarm clock to silence it until the following day. She blinked a bit more, staring at the ceiling in a daze.
Her heart was beating wildly. She wasn't sure if it was from the alarm's rude awakening or her dream. Mizuki isn't sure as she doesn't remember what she was dreaming about.
"Damnit..." she sighed, reaching over to her nightstand again to grab a small journal and a pencil on top it. She flipped through it until she reached a blank sheet.
She writes her dreams; they're rare to remember. In her dream journal, a few pages described some parts of her past dreams and a few pictures she drew. But if someone else looked through the book, they'd think it was an art project.
Mizuki rubbed her eyes and yawned as she sat up from bed after making a quick note of having no dreams on the sixth of December.
Despite her rude awakening, she had to get up and prepare for the day.
Mizuki approached her roommate's bed, shaking her shoulder to arouse her from slumber. "Nade. Nade, it's time to get up," she said. The brunette opened her tired eyes and looked at Mizuki, squinting.
"Huh?" she said, her voice hoarse from sleep.
"Time to get up," Mizuki said again, walking over to her bed to make it. Nadeshiko stared at her senior, trying to piece together what was happening. She grabbed her glasses from the bedside table and put them on to read the alarm clock.
"What? Six-thirty?" she gasped. "Already? I barely got any sleep..." Nadeshiko sunk into her bed, dreading the morning.
Mizuki scoffed, knowing Nadeshiko had plenty of sleep. Nadeshiko was out like a light when she covered herself in her blankets and barely stirred; she was so deep in slumber. Mizuki, on the other hand, was fighting off headaches throughout the night. She returned to sleep a few hours before the alarm woke her.
