"Wow, this looks like the happiest place on earth.!" Lacy said with sarcasm they arrived to the theme park. It was dark, lonely, and kind of scary. Lacy had never been to a theme park. "Totally." Chuckled Percy. He found the girls joke a bit funny. "So who do you think built this?" Asked the blonde boy. "I think it was my moms husband, I don't really know though."
The pair came to a gate entrance. It was a revolving door gate. Lacy looked above and saw this special bronze in the form of a weapon. "Venna, what the fuck is that.?" Percy asked, he was scared. "I think celestial bronze, it would cut directly through you if your a Demigod, or human." Lacy responded, she was also curious. Why would this be here?
"What is it doing here the ?" Percy asked another question. "I don't know.." lacy said, she then saw a box with some sort of mechanical system. She hoped she was smart enough to figure it out. "Hold on," lacy said as she worked on the device. The device went off, it looked as if someone were to walk through they would die instantly. "Go through." Lecy ordered percy.
"What.?" Percy was shocked, no way he would go through that. He would die. "Percy just go through." Lacy said again. She wasn't playing around. "Okay I trust you Venna." Percy said as he was about to walk in. He hesitated, "are you sure about this-" Percy said but he was cut off by lacy giggling "percy, go." Lacy said in between her giggles. Percy walked through.
"This wasn't designed to hurt us, it was made to test us." Lacy stated, she was proud. She did all of that without Annabeth. "You are so smart." Percy said. He believed there was much more to the girl rather than just her looks. Thats what made him so intrigued by her. The pair walked around, they walked past a merry-go round. It went off without warning. Lacy jumped at the loud noise. She latched on to Percy's arm. He was turning red, he had roses on his cheeks already, but her touch made those roses turn into bouquets of millions of red roses.
"My bad.." the girl said sheepishly, she was flustered. She still hadn't come in terms with her feelings. She didn't know whether she actually liked Percy, or if she liked Percy. "You're good." The boy said in the same sheepish/nervous voice. They both walked around in silence. It wasn't comfortable silence. It was awkward as fuck.
"Why do you think Hephestes the god of craftsman would build an amusement park.?" Percy asked the girl trying to make conversation. "Maybe he finds them..Amusing?" Lacy joked. "Thats not funny." Percy said, he was holding in his laughter. "It kind of is though." Lacy smiled up at the boy. The boy looked down at the girl and smiled back. The two were lost in each other's eyes.
"Anyways.." lacy broke the moment up. "Why do you this Ares was doing here.?" She asked the blue eyed boy. "I mean Ares has always had a thing for your...mother." Percy responded, his voice turning into a sort of whisper at the end of his sentence. "So you think Ares and my mom got caught, so Ares fled and left his shield here?" Lacy asked the boy, she wanted to know where he was going with this.
"I mean yeah...Its messed up. Meeting up with her lover in her own husband's park.? Thats messed up like straight up, no offense to your mom, because she can do no wrong you know-" percy rambled, he knew he had messed up with his sentence. "Percy, I know its messed up but, my mother never really loved-" lacy started to give a speech to try and justify her mother's actions.
"Wait lacy I think this might be where the shield is." Percy cut the girl off as they arrived to a ride called "Tunnel of Love". "Okay you cannot tell me this is not weird because it is." Lacy said as percy helped her get in the boat. "I never said anything." Percy smirked. He thought this was perfect. He could possibly have the chance to confess his love for Lacy.
They started the ride up. Soon some weird cringy old sappy love song started playing "what is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me. No more." The song went. Lacy cringed at the song, she liked it but it was hella corny. "I think I've heard this song before." Percy said. "At an orthodontist's office." He joked. Lacy laughed a bit. "Whats an orthodontist.?" She asked, her teeth were literally perfect, they were like pearls. "We have to catch you up on so many things." Percy said.
"Wait I know this story.." Percy realized. "Rejected but Aphrodite, and rejected by Hera." Percy added. Lacy was in her own world, not listening to a single word the son of Poseidon had uttered. Lacy was too entertained by the lights to even realize Percy was speaking.
"Veena? Veena!" Percy shook the girl back to reality. "Huh?" The girl jumped from the scare. "Did you heat anything I said?" Percy asked the blue eyed girl. "No, sorry" the girl answered sheepishly. "I said that-" Percy got cut off by Lacy's turning around to look behind her. "Ares shield!" She shouted. Percy looked to see the gold statue of a woman holding the statue. In front of her there was a golden chair.
