Scar and I wander the world. Not the entire world. That'd be impossible. But we did make it pretty far before it became dark.

"Do you want to try and fly back? You could stay at my place?" I ask, looking around for monsters.

"Don't think we'll make it. We could dig a hole and sleep on the ground?" He suggests, holding out his shovel.

"Did you bring a bed?" I ask, really not wanting to sleep on the floor.

He looks through his backpack and comes up with nothing.

"I guess that's the safest bet." I sigh, grabbing my shovel and start digging.

"Okay, how big should it be?" He asks, helping me dig out a small hole.

"This big enough?" I say, looking around. It's deep enough that we can both stand, but too small that we'll both have to sleep close to each other.

"Yeah, I'm exhausted." He pants, lying on the floor huddled in a ball.

"I don't think that's good for your back." I point out, lying next to him, facing the wall.

"Would you rather me spoon you?" He asks and I can't help but imagine it.

'No way. What would everyone else think?'

'Who said we had to tell them?'

I shake my head, incapable of ridding myself of those thoughts.

"Exactly." He says, taking my head shaking as a no.

Scar pov:

My heart plummets when Grian shakes his head.

Darn, I guess he probably took it as a joke.

"Exactly." I say, trying to act like I didn't just nearly die from a broken heart.

We both lie in silence, the noises of the deadly creatures above our heads.

My back begins to ache and I check that Grian's asleep before I-

Grian pov:

Scar thinks I'm asleep.

I'm not.

Maybe that's why I don't stop him. I have to be asleep.

Or maybe it's because I like the way he feels.

I don't want to know the real reason I didn't stop him from spooning me.

I don't think I'll ever want to know.

And Scar won't know either.

Ever.

Again, so sorry for the short chapter. I had to get it done after procrastinating for so long! I hope you enjoyed it!
