Chapter 2: Touchy

(A/N) Ight ya'll so last chapter I asked if I should keep this book a gxg or g!p and most people said they were feeling g!p for this book so that's what it would be for now on.

Rhyne Pov

"Rhy drop down to the corner!" Coach T directed me as we ran through plays. I did what she told me to do and Lish passed me the ball while I wide open in the corner making me shoot the ball and watch it go straight through the net. "Good pass Lish and great shot Rhy keep it up!" Coach complimented me as I hustled back down setting up our 2-3 zone defense. We continued to scrimmage for another 10 minutes until the buzzer went off. Coach called us into a huddle and told us how she liked how we ran our plays and stuff like that. She dismissed us all and told us to do some shooting drills to end out practice. I walked over to dale and started working on some of my pump fakes and mid range shots. After a bit of doing that I took a little break and looked to the side and saw y/n watching everyone practice. I smiled walking up to her and wrapping my arm around her shoulders.

"Hi y/nn" I said with a mischievous grin, "eww get away from me with all that sweat on you" she said moving my arm and laughing. I giggled and started chasing her around in a circle with my arms out laughing at her efforts to try and escape. Unfortunately for her she wasn't successful in  her efforts and I eventually wrapped my arms around her taller figure. "You know you can't escape me so I don't even know why you continue to try resisting" I said as she mumbled something under her breath but I couldn't hear her. "What you say?" I asked looking at her, "nothing I ain't say none" she said shaking her head.

 I side eyed her before just shrugging it off and asked her "so you got anything that your doing later today?", she shook her head and said "nah i'm not busy later why?" she asked looking down at me as I still held on her without noticing. "Me, Lish,Naz, and Hayley having a little late night hangout sort of thing and I wanted to invite you so we can all get closer you know" I stated softly. "Uhh yeah for sure I can pull up but i'ma have to bring my little brother with me if that's aight with yall?" she asked me politely. "Oh that's fine how old is he?" I asked moving to hugging her side so I could watch everyone on the court, "he's 17 about to be 18 in about a year" she said now wrapping her arm around my shoulder. "That's wassup i'll send you my address after practice. She nodded giving me a thumbs up as I went back on the court to finish up practice.

(Time skip) 

I was putting on my shoes and talking to Lish in the locker room as we were getting ready to leave. As I was tying my shoe I looked up hearing Naz walk in saying "well well well", I looked at her confused and amused at what ever she was about to say. "What you gotta say now Nazzy?" Lish asked chuckling, "well since you asked Rhy I saw you and y/n realll hugged up and close during shoot around, is there something you ain't tell us?" she finished making my eyes go slightly wide. "Oop cause I saw the exact same thing girl and I thought I was tripping for a minute" Allisha said making me hide my face in my hands. "Ya'll chill were just friends, that's gotten closer these past couple weeks and plus you guys know i'm very touchy with people i'm close with" I said trying to justify my argument.

 "Yeah that might be true but the way you was holding onto her and looking up at her was reallll suspicious Rhy I can't even lie" Naz said shrugging. I sighed shaking my head "guys I promise we don't have anything going on and I don't even like girls, atleast I don't think I do" I said the last part lowly. "Aye I wouldn't even judge you if you guys had something going on cause she is fine fine baby, don't tell my man I said that though" Naz said making us all bust out laughing. "All jokes aside if you guys do end up getting together or talking just know we told you so" Lish said making me smile. "Thanks guys I guess but we still up for hanging out at my place?" I asked grabbing my stuff. They both responded with a hum, "aight of and her and her little brother will be there to so don't do to much" I said walking out as they both stood there in shock.
