Chapter 14: Ten Toes Down

Y/n Pov

"Hey baby how'd you sleep?" Rhy asked as she walked into Akeem's room with a tea in her hand. I've been spending a hour in each of their rooms at a time just sitting in silence or talking to them so they know i'm here. The doctors had to put Von into a temporary coma because his body apparently needed a extra boost with generating more blood that he lost when he was shot. "I didn't get much sleep my mind couldn't stop racing" I said accepting the tea she handed me. I was always more of a tea girlie instead of a coffee girl. "You need to get some sleep bubba you haven't gotten any since the accident" she said chuckling giving me a kiss.

"I know I know but I just can't sleep knowing my little brothers are in this state you know" I said as she nodded sitting down on Keem's bed. "Yeah I get it, oh and also Naz and Lish wanted me to tell you they love you and to say their love you's and get well soon's to Von and AK" she said, "tell them I love them and I appreciate it" I said smiling. I do really miss seeing my two girls but I can't leave their side. "Also speaking of, I am going back to be at practice since I haven't been in like 2 days" she said as I nodded. "That's fine with me I understand I don't wanna mess up what you love" I said sipping the hot tea.

"You aren't messing anything up baby, trust me I do wish I could stay with you guys but i'm just a girl" she said pouting making me laugh as she sat down next to me. "Shut up bro your so stupid" I said lightly chuckling mushing her arm. "Ahhh I got a laugh out" she said caressing my cheek as I looked into her eyes. A small smile crept onto my face as I could feel the gentleness and love in her eyes. "I love you so much" I said making her smile, "I love you more bubba" she said leaning in giving me a kiss. "Thank you for being here for me" I said laying my head on her shoulder as we looked upon a still very asleep Akeem.

"No need to thank me I'm just keeping my promise" she said kissing the back of my hand. As we were sitting in silence it got interrupted from the sound of my alarm going off. "Time to go visit your new found favorite" I said rolling my eyes. "Oh hush you know you'll always be my fav y/nn" she said hugging me from behind. "Mhmm whatever, I'll be back in a hour I love you lil bro" I said kissing his head and walking down to Von's room.

(Time Skip)

The nurses came in about 10 minutes ago and took Von off of sedation. They said he should wake up soon but it all really depends on him. To be honest he sure is taking his precious time to get up. Just for that I should pop him over the head for taking so long, but what kind of sister would that make me. "Baby I gotta get going I need to head out to go to practice" Rhyne said standing up grabbing her stuff. "Mk have a good practice mama and send everyone my love and thank you's" I said as we walked to the door. "I will, you sure your going to be ok here on your own though baby" she asked me unsure. 

"Yes ma I promise you, i'm going to be ok alright?" I asked holding her by her waist. "Mmm ok then, I call you when I get home after practice" she said leaning in for a kiss which I gladly accepted. "I love you baby i'll see you later" she said kissing my cheek, "I love you more mama see you la-" I got interrupted by another voice speaking up. "Just get married already damn" Von said in a raspy voice making me and Rhyne look at each other in shock. "You ok twin? You good?" I asked rushing to his side. "I'm good y/nn chill out" she said grunting in pain as he tried to sit up. "Whoa whoa lay back down don't try and get up right now" Rhyne said slowly helping him lay back down.

"My stomach and leg hurt like hell right now twin i'm not een gone cap" he said exhaling deeply. "I know you just woke up but watch that mouth still" I said lightly tapping his hand making him laugh but cringe from the pain. "Do you remember what happened when you got shot Von?" I asked him. 

"Yeah, I remember me and Keem riding around with Raequan, Tye, and Keyon. We were all just chilling outside of this gas station when this black Honda I think drove up and started letting off shots" he said with his eyes closed trying to remember. "I remember Akeem jumping on top of me and hearing that's for 'that's for Tae Tae nigga' as they drove off. I remember looking on top of me and seeing Keem with all this blood on him unresponsive, I just started yelling and yelling until I passed out..." he finished as tears rolled down his face. When he finished talking all I could see was red as I felt my anger rise at a rapid pace.
