It's been about 2 weeks since my injury and over this time me and her have gotten extremely closer, friendly wise but mainly romantically. Since she's had to be my personal nurse during this whole thing we've done absolutely nothing but be highly attentive and caring to me. Something i've noticed though is someone is always calling or texting her and whenever she talks to them she gets in a real bad attitude. Every time I try and ask her who it is she always tries to brush it off but the more she avoids answering the more suspicious I get.
"Hey mama what you watching?" she asked planting a soft kiss on my lips and sitting down next to me. "Just insecure i've been trying to catch up on some episode" I said still focused on the show. She nodded humming, "mmm ok well i'm about to make me a sub sandwich do you want one?" she asked me politely. I thought for a quick second before answering, "yeah sure thank you baby" I said smiling at her as she smiled back kissing my cheek.
I pouted my lip out making puppy dog eyes. She chuckled rolling her eyes leaning down and giving me a slow kiss making me moan and smile into it. "Ok ok let me go now i'm starving and I need to eat" she said pulling out of my grasp. "I got something you can eat alright" I said smirking making her side eye me and blush making me bust out laughing. "I'm not about to play with you cause you know I stand on business" she said as she walked over to my kitchen.
I continued to watch Insecure when I felt a buzz on the couch. I looked over thinking it was my phone but it wasn't, it was y/n's. I didn't touch it because obviously I know how to respect boundaries, but I got really nosey when her phone kept buzzing. I looked up seeing y/n was to entranced with cooking our sandwiches. I picked her phone up turning it on and seeing a notification from somebody saved as 'Jay😒❤️'.

My nose scrunched up as I scrolled through the notifications. Whoever this is, is delusional and crazy as hell but what really did it for me is when she said "baby I miss hearing you voice i'm sorry". "I'm sorry?" I said out loud subconsciously, "what you say ma?" y/n asked me. "Oh nothing, absolutely nothing" I said shaking my head and placing her phone back down. She walked over to me with my food and a drink. "Thank you" I said dryly as I said my grace and started eating. I don't want to jump to conclusions or anything but seeing that girl call her baby irked my spirit a little bit.
"Your welcome..." she said lowly eyeing me. She took a bite of her sandwich and picked up her phone rolling her eyes. She started typing fast and hard making me look at her with a weird look. "You straight y/nn?" I questioned her, "huh? oh uh yeah i'm good" she said exhaling deeply. I nodded deciding not to ask her about who that was even though I so desperately wanted to know. We sat in silence eating out food watching TV, I couldn't focus in on the show because my mind was still stuck on who this 'Jay' person was.
"Who is Jay?" I blurted out making her look at me confused, "what?" she said turning towards me. "Who is Jay in your phone that's calling you baby?" I asked not caring how blunt I came off. "Did you open my phone?" she asked dodging my question, "y/n don't play with me right now, who the hell is Jay?" I asked getting tired of her trying to play dumb. She sighed pinching the bridge of her nose, "she's just my friend, well delusional friend I guess you could say because she's also my ex..." she said the last part lowly.
"She's you what?" I asked loudly now sitting up, "I said she's my ex" she said louder. I chuckled biting my lip as I tapped my finger, "so when were you going to mention her to me?" I asked tilting my head. She shook her head looking at me with slight annoyance "I didn't want to tell you at all because she's crazy as hell and brings drama with whoever I talk with and I didn't want you to get involved with any of that" she ranted to me. My faced softened as I listened to the irritation in her voice, "so if she's your ex then how is she your friend?" I asked curiously. "It's a long story but we both agreed to having a platonic friendship but these past couple years she's been trying to get back with me" she said explaining the situation to me.
I nodded my head understanding but still stuck on the her calling my little vibe baby. "Why she calling you baby though" I asked her as I really wanted to get the answer for this question. "Because like I said before she stays flirting with me and because the night you got injured and you called for me she heard you call me baby, and she got mad now she calls me all kinds of pet names because she knows it'll piss me off" she said making me say 'ahh' nodding my head. "Well since you broke it down to me like that i've come to the conclusion that you really need to block her because ain't nobody else calling my girl baby except for me" I said making her smile.
"Oh i'm fasho blocking her ass because everytime she texts or calls me its unnecessary bull" she said pulling out her phone and blocking her. Y/n flipped her phone towards me and showed me that she truly did block her making a slight smile arise on my face. "Good that you finally told me and blocked her now come here and cuddle with me I need some loving after all this irritation" I said making her laugh and come snuggle with me.
She wrapped her arms around me embracing me as I instantly melted in her touch. "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner" she said quietly, "don't be sorry baby just next time tell me sooner so we won't be in a position like this again" I spoke softly caressing her jaw line. "I. Promise. I. Will. Tell. You. Everything" she said in between kisses as we both laughed and smiled. She pulled me in closer to her gently rubbing circles on my back as I slowly drifted off into a soft sleep.
