𝓣wo shots in the air were heard in the distance,— Arabella was now guarded by Rafe, who had dragged her off the beach by force; Topper, Sarah, Alejandro, Kelce and Lucas, the five of them had gone the other way, along with most of the people; rushed by the adrenaline and fear of the moment.

"I'm taking you home." The boy breaks the silence, releasing Arabella from his grip,

"You didn't do anything." The girl says, making the boy frown his eyebrows, "Topper almost drowned John B and you didn't do anything," she explains,— trying to see where the others were, but there was no one around.

"WhaI saved you. They pointed a fucking gun at you" The boy says, pointing to himself, emphasizing that he had helped her.

"He wasn't going to shoot me," She denies, without really knowing,
The boy runs his hands through his hair, approaching his Range Rover, "Just— Get in." He orders the girl, but she shakes her head.

"Arabella, get in" He repeats again, the girl just looks at him strangely,— feeling the coldness in the boy's gaze, his eyes completely red,
"Where are our friends?," Arabella says, Rafe raises his shoulders without caring.

"I'm going to wait for—Kelce, he must be looking for me." The green-eyed girl bites the inside of her cheek, nervous, but she knew they probably had already left,

"I'm not kidnapping you" he laughs without believing her attitude, was she afraid to be alone with him?

"Are you kidding,—what are you gonna do? walk back home?" He scoffs,
If she walked, she would arrive the next day, or probably not, this side of the island was dangerous.

The girl decides to sit in the passenger seat, she was drunk, none of her friends were around, and she was feeling cold.
Rafe started his truck but before driving he turned to see the girl, hugging her legs,— maybe with fear, confusion, he didn't know what was going through her mind.

Rafe sighed, he didn't want to scare her, "Arabella," He calls her, not knowing how was the right way to start a conversation, he was nervous.

Arabella didn't know whether to be a little softer with him,— she had been nothing but cold and sometimes mean to him since she got back,
"I'm sorry" She whispers, before he could say something, "Can you drive me home, please"

'Mjm', the boy nods, while keeping his eyes on the road,

The silence remained the entire way, Arabella turned to look at the view out the window, listening to the soft music playing on the radio and falling asleep quickly,— while Rafe tried to concentrate on getting her safely home, trying to be more careful when driving, despite the alcohol and drugs he had consumed,

They soon arrived at the Beaulieu residence,—and Rafe noticed that the girl was not awake, so with great caution, he picked her up in his arms softly and took her to her room on the second floor.
Fortunately he knew she always hid her keys behind the plants of her house entrance.

The brunette, still half asleep, felt the warmth of her bed, and snuggled into her sheets, "Just rest." She hears the boy whisper,

"She's pretty." She unexpectedly says, taking him by surprise, "Who?" He asks, knowing that the girl was still dizzy from the drink, and probably didn't acknowledge what she was saying.
