𝓡afe walked back into his father's office with the first aid kit, seeing Arabella sitting in the position he had left her in,— while she was looking at the paintings around her as she tried to ignore the pain of her wound.

He approached the girl, standing next to her, taking out cotton and alcohol to begin cleaning her leg,

"I can do it" The brunette interrupts him, grabbing the materials from his hands, 'Okay' the boy didn't complain, knowing that perhaps she preferred to still keep her distance from him.

'Shit' Bella whispers under her breath, feeling the burning when she cleaned it,
"Let me help you." The blue-eyed boy interrupts her, noticing how she couldn't keep the cotton there for more than 5 seconds, "Don't be so stubborn." He tells her before she objects, and this time she accepted his help.

The Cameron boy finished cleaning the cut she had, as gently as his hands could, making sure not to cause the girl any more pain, "You should be more careful," He says while lightly applying a cream on the now-disinfected wound.

"I know" She half-smiles, looking into his blue eyes, and at that moment she realized the short distance that separated them,— the closeness of the boy, and their contact,
He also noticed it, so he grabbed a gauze, and applied pressure, trying to avoid staring at her.

"When you were little, you always had accidents" The boy remembers, "There was not a day where you didn't end up with a bruise or scratch from playing with Sarah" He laughs, finishing healing her leg, the brunette smiles remembering those moments in her childhood

"You never wanted to play with us" She exclaims, "Running around the house? No thanks" Rafe shakes his head, putting everything in its place.

They both remain silent, a comfortable silence, as the memories of their childhood returned to their minds, nostalgically.

"Thank you" The green-eyed girl exclaims later, referring to the help that the boy had given her, "Yeah— Don't worry," he smiles and nods,

Rafe Cameron had not only been Arabella's first kiss,—— he had been the first person to whom she had given her secrets, to whom she had confided her fears; her anxieties; her desires,
And now, even though he was so foreign to her, there were moments when she forgot that he was no longer hers, perhaps because that connection they had never had closure.

"Belly" he calls her after a few seconds, turning to look at her, before putting away the medicine kit.

"Yes?" She looks at him, "I hope that one day you can forgive me," Rafe tells her, showing the sincerity of his words with his eyes.
"I have forgiven you even before you hurt me." The girl admits

But before the blue-eyed boy could respond, her sister enters the room, "I literally can't stand Topper!" She complains about the small talk she just had with her boyfriend,

"You won't believe what he just told me," she says, looking at the brunette, and then turns to look at her brother, 'Oh' The girl stands still, "Did I interrupt something?" Sarah asks, but her friend denies.
