5. A Fish Out of the Water

"How..." Blade did pant, looking at Dan Heng who was fixing his coat even though it was of course, drenched "Why... What the fuck" he laid on the sand feeling exhausted

"No bodies in my sea" Dan Heng replied, crossing his arms to then flinch as the grumpy man was looking at him in disbelief to then laugh

"Oh, you don't like humans swimming in this cursed sea?" he asked trying his best to keep himself awake, but he swore he could hear still that song. Dan Heng underwater was so damn beautiful, he swore he could see those moments he shared with him as a far dream "Fuck me, I am cursed" he muttered, trying to slap himself but he was tired.

Dan Heng flinched and pushed himself completely out of the water to get on top of Blade and stop his hands "No! I saved you! Don't die!"

Blade looked at him to then close his eyes once he felt Dan Heng's hands pinching hard his cheeks. He grit his teeth and grabbed his wrist "Stop, I am... tired... I..." he did faint, probably the pressure switch really did something to his brain. Dan Heng had no idea what to do.

So he decided to do what he used to do to check on the humans underwater.

He laid the ear on Blade's chest and smiled proudly. It was beating.

Wait, beating? Then why wasn't he opening his eyes?

"Eeeh?!" Dan Heng exclaimed to then slap his face more times, pull his cheeks, squeezing them, but the captain looked dead "No! Famir's family!" he hummed a song and slowly some little drops from the sea raised, shining of the merman's tail colour, flew towards him.

"THERE HE IS! CAPTAIN!"

Dan Heng opened up his eyes, and turned, seeing Blade's crew running with Famir who was already shouting at them not to touch the merman.

Richard's eyes were flaming as he saw the merman on top of a dead Blade "YOU!"

"HUH?!" Dan Heng shook his head to then focus back to Blade "YOU!" he shouted at the captain while the crewmates were surrounding him.

"Oh no! He killed our captain!" Eric cried out loud, wiping off fake tears just to put more drama.

"No! I saved him! Say something! Oiiii!" Dan Heng kept his hands on Blade's cheeks, while the crewmates were going in panic. The more they were trying to get him off Blade, the more they could see the captain's cheeks pulled by the merman "Noo! Say something!" he exclaimed once again.

They finally got him off the captain. More crewmates were needed to hold his tail and his body since he was moving and keeping his eyes on the human he saved.

"Get him back to the net... Monster" Richard looked at Dan Heng, feeling so much madness. He wanted to actually kill him. But the merman was still focus on Blade.

"Wake up you...." Dan Heng grit his teeth, his aqua hair were flowing, his cheeks red and those eyes full of irritation "YOU CLOWNFISH!" he shouted and Richard tilted his head to then call out Eric and Famir to help him get the captain back

"Did he just call captain... clownfish?" Famir tried to keep himself from laughing, but he soon coughed seeing Richard looking at him. He laid the head on Blade's chest and sighed in relief "He's alive"

Richard sighed in relief just like Leo and Eric, to then carry him back to his tent.

Back to the camp, Famir ran towards Dan Heng who was once again hanging in a net, but thankfully the net was one not prepared with the hooks as the previous was cut.

"Dan Heng!" Famir called him as the merman was with his arms crossed, humming an happy song that made some crewmates turn towards him in panic "Don't worry! He won't hurt us! He did save captain!"
