When Dan Heng opened his eyes, he was moving... somehow?

He then realized his legs were wrapped around someone's waist, and held strongly to avoid him to fall.

"Good morning, pretty face" Dan Heng opened up his eyes when he noticed he was held by Blade. The pirate captain was focus on trying to find the path back to his crewmates as that place felt like, even without any spell, became a damn labirynth.

Dan Heng released some annoyed sounds and Blade rolled his eyes "Don't start again crying, I dare you" he stopped, moving a little the head to look into his blue shiny eyes. He couldn't help but notice his cheeks a little red like he was sick, and those blue eyes being just even more dangerous than usual.

Blade loved the sea, everything related to that, and Dan Heng resembling it in all his forms was probably the reason why he would easily feel charmed.

Dan Heng for a moment didn't say anything. He just looked at Blade but his eyes could tell he was just thinking about something else.

Blade almost fell when Dan Heng held onto him, with the hands pressing on his chest "What is wrong with you?!"

"I don't... know" Dan Heng cried "What to do?" every little hiccup against Blade's coat was making the pirate feeling his heart breaking "I... If I am... back to the sea... waiting... Waiting for none? I... am... alone? I was... alone... all this time?" he punched a little the pirate's chest, feeling like he has been for so many... so many years underwater... With no one to talk to, just fish and big sea creatures because he really did believe he just had to wait his mother to come back.

The moment of realization made Dan Heng feel just broken.

He has been waiting for none for such a long time.

He has been practising his singing, brushing his hair, taking care of his scales for who? His mother would have never seen him, how beautiful he was to swim with her.

"I am alone" Dan Heng cried "Even... if I come back to the sea... Mum won't... come" his whole body was trembling and Blade just was for a moment silent, keeping just Dan Heng's legs around the waist to avoid him to fall. It was clear the merman had no energy to even walk.

Flashes of his past... Blade for a moment saw himself... That kid crying alone in that little house... Dirty, with his stomach growling and his feet hurting from the run of his life to avoid it to be taken... Crying and begging his mother and father to come back, but they never did because he couldn't accept the fact he saw them getting killed by the guards of the city he used to live in.

Blade looked at the roof for a moment, smirking, trying to keep those memories away. He took a big breath as he was feeling himself hurt from Dan Heng crying. He really couldn't stand it.

"How was she...?"

Dan Heng opened up his eyes at his question between the tears and hiccups. Blade closed his eyes for a moment asking himself what he was doing. But honestly he was literally whining at few centimeters from his ear. He just wanted him to stop crying.

"Mum?"

Blade looked at him for a moment to then start walking once again, fixing Dan Heng's position on his back, pressing for a moment the hands on his naked thigs. The merman as an instict held onto him with the arms crossing around his chest from the shoulders. He was surprised from that question.

"Of course, how was she? Tell me about her" he said to distract him as he was looking for again that room where they found the monster.

"She liked to put starfish on my hair!" he exclaimed happily "Here!" he said as he pointed at his side of the head to then flinch as he felt like falling again. He laughed a little as he got back to hold onto the pirate "She loved humans! She sang a lot...about protecting sailors! I learnt all... from her!" he said between little stutters. Blade couldn't help but giggling at his switch of mood so easily.
