3rd person pov
after that, she hung out with sarah and they fell asleep on the druthers together. she was holding sarah and then they heard a noise and sarah woke up
"wheezie, shut up" she said and julie opened her eyes to see john b and she shook her head
"god. youre not wheezie" sarah spoke after she opened her eyes due to a metal noise and the sound of something hitting.
"yeah i could've told you that" julie stated and sarah pushed her off of the couch as she hit the floor and groaned. she stood up and looked at sarah with an annoyed expression before she looked at john b
"what are you doing here?" she asked him
"I'm just dropping off some scuba gear" he told them and she stared at it and then looked up at him
"that sounds empty" she exclaimed
"and what are you doing here?" he asked her and sarah stared at him
"i live here, its our boat. its also the only place with air conditioning. did you top off the tanks?" she asked
"no, powers down so the compressors were off" he stated
"you're sneaking onto our boat at 5 AM with empty tanks?" sarah asked and julie sighed as she held out her hand
"look I'll fill them up it's no big deal" she offered and he smiled as he put them on the ground and he left them alone in the boat with each other
"wait, Sarah, are you gonna tell your dad?" he asked her and she smiled
"yeah probably the fact that you poached our scuba gear" she spoke and juliette groaned
"I borrowed it for a few hours and then I brought it back intact and unharmed so please don't tell him. he'll fire me and I really need this job" he told her and juliette nodded
"you can leave John B I'll handle it. Stop giving him a hard time Sarah. your secret safe with us. bye john b" she exclaimed and he walked out. she heard the hms pogue leave and she smiled at sarah before she watched the girl turn over and fall asleep.
then she heard a sound and turned to see wheezie right there and she made eye contact
"how long have you been there?" juliette asked the girl and wheezie looked down at her feet and then up at her.
"not for too long. Are you really gonna fill up those tanks for him?" wheezie asked
"yeah, Wheezie. he's a pogue and he doesn't have money and their powers down but ours isn't. And it's just air. he needs this job with ward and I don't want him losing it. So please, for the sake of me don't say anything." she said and wheezie nodded as she walked off the boat and juliette looked at the tanks as she grabbed them and she left the boat.
she went to the gas station near her home and she filled up the tanks with the air that was needed. she knew that kelce, topper and rafe were at the house with sarah and she wouldn't go back because she had punched topper and now he had a black eye.
if she had to choose again, she would do it a million times. she was always on jj and johns bs side even if it was against topper because she hated topper and kelce. she knew that bringing back the tanks, she would have to be quick so they didn't see her and that's exactly what she did. she snuck in and dropped the tanks off with a smile as she knew she was covering his ass and that was good enough for her.
now she had a decision, she could go to work and do what she did there or she could go back to sarahs or she could go to john bs but she knew that if she went there, kiara would be there and she couldn't stand her. so she decided that the next best thing for her was work, it always was.
as she drove past the police station, there she saw john b and kiara standing outside and she made eye contact with kiara and they stared at each other. she waved at mike because he didn't know what happened between them and he drove off with kiara. john b walked away and she sighed as she walked to work.
when she got in, she smiled as she was met with the faces of her coworkers and they all smiled at her too. it was only ten in the morning and she knew that being at work the whole day working with animals, would help her get back on track and that's what she needed. so she spent the rest of the day at working, helping take care of them and the whole time she reminded herself that this is what she wanted to do and this is what she needed to do.
what she didn't know was that wheezie had told topper who had told ward and now john b got fired and she knew that he would be angry at her and sarah but she didn't do it. she would have to deal with the idea of him being angry and her not doing anything about it because she couldn't.
she couldn't get involved again, it wasn't a good look on her or anyone else at that point and that's what she would have to deal with. she had a graveyard shift later at the graveyard that night because that's where she volunteered.
she would go and take care of the graves after working at the vet clinic the whole day and that's what she did for herself because that's what she needed to do for herself. however she couldn't predict the future, or predict seeing who she would see there.
she would just to find out soon.
