3rd person pov
They went back to the chateau after the failure with the cross and they all fell asleep with each other until the next day when they heard the sound of the twinkie and they all ran out to see john b and big john getting out of the car and juliette watched as jj jumped on the back of big john. Kiara and pope hugged him and jules just watched as she waved at the man and he stared at her
"juliette marquis? sarahs friend" he said and she nodded her head with a smile as he hugged her and she hugged him back. she didn't even know the man and she knew that her father had connections with him due to ward so she didn't know how he would react to seeing her but she was glad that he wasn't mad about it.
"yeah, yeah so we went to the archives in charleston and it was... it was a dead end, a dry hole so" john b said and sarah made eye contact with jules because it felt like he wasn't telling them everything or even anything at all.
"so thats the gold, the cross, and el dorado. we're three for three guys, the streak continues" pope said and they all got up as they walked away, juliette put her hand on sarahs shoulder and she rubbed it softly before she followed after kiara to jules car and they got in together
" Not to say that John B was lying but I think he was lying. Why would he tell us to come here just to tell us that he failed? It doesn't make any sense he sounded happy and proud of himself, and I'm not saying this because I don't know his dad or because I don't like him but because it makes no sense. I don't get any of this at all there has to be something he's not telling us" Juliette told her girlfriend and kiara sighed
" I don't think he would lie but I mean maybe because now that big John is back I think he just wants a relationship with his dad and if he can keep that relationship by lying to us and hiding shit from us then maybe. He's my best friend and I don't want to think he would do this especially not to us, not with the shit we've gone through but I can't tell any more" Kiara said and jules nodded in agreement
" I just don't get it the cross gets taken by rafe, Ward gets the gold and the place that we were supposed to find something from El Dorado was a dead end? The last part doesn't make any sense because it wouldn't be a dead end there had to be something there" she said and kiara nodded
" I think we just have to trust him jules even if we think he's lying there has to be a bigger reason to why he wouldn't tell us the truth than wanting to keep it to himself. And if this is Big John telling him what to do then we can't help it because his dad was dead and now that he's alive he just wants a chance with him" kiara said and jules nodded in understanding and agreement
"i say we just go to my house and hang out there for a while until we can figure out the shit thats going on" Juliette said and kiara agreed, juliette left the chateau and she drove to her house. she parked her car and got out but as she got out, she saw the front door was open and she sighed. she didn't want to interact with her mom and she hated that kiara would be there for it.
"is that your girlfriend juliette?" her mother called out the front door as she stood in the way and looked at kiara and jules. Kiara held jules hand and jules sighed as she nodded her head and scoffed. she wouldn't let her mother make kiara feel uncomfortable, fuck that.
"yes mom it is, now can you please go back into the house and leave us alone?" she asked and her mother scoffed
"now now, i was just curious what whore you were bringing into my house, thats all" she said with a laugh and juliette got in her face towering over her looking down with a sneer and she stared at her
" If there is any whore that is in this house it's not my girlfriend and it's not me but it's you you don't get to be curious about what I do or who I date or who I bring into the house because you've always been a shit parent you suck at being a mom you suck at being an influence and you suck at being someone who just loves their kid so I'm so sorry to say but I don't give a fuck about you being curious" she said and she led kiara up to her room where she slammed the door and they laid on the bed staring at the ceiling together. Jules grabbed her headphones and passed one to kiara as they listened to music and fell asleep.
that was until five thirty am when her phone started to ring and she groaned as she woke up to them. juliette woke up to multiple phone calls and she removed kiaras arm from her waist as she sat up and grabbed her phone that was connected to her charger and she looked at the messages. all sos' from sarah and she looked at kiara before she saw that sarah had sent her location and she got out of the bed and she got dressed, locking her door from the inside so kiara could get out but her mother couldn't get in and she left the house as quick as she could.
what the hell had sarah done?
