3rd person pov
midsommar, juliette hated midsommar but what she hated more was finding out about jj being arrested and how he had to deal with it. she hated getting dressed for midsommar and putting on dresses and pretending to be someone shes not. she didn't know what john b or sarah and what they did or what they found.
"are you getting ready for tonight yet jules?" her mother asked and she seethed under her breathe. she didn't want to talk to the women about this because she had never cared before so why would she care for now?
"yeah" she said shortly
"you cant be mad at me forever" her mother said and juliette turned to her
"try me mom, truthfully try me" she told her and her mother scoffed before she walked out and there was her father in the doorway staring at her
"I'm sorry jules" he offered but she shook her head and closed the door so he couldn't see her. she put on her dress and everything else that she needed and she sighed. seeing everyone tonight was going to kill her but she had to do this.
"its one night jules, one night" she told herself and with that, she did everything else that she had to do and she left the house. luckily her dress had pockets so she could keep her phone on her and not worry about anything else.
"YOU MADE IT" sarah called to her and she spun with a smile and a laugh as she ran over and hugged the girl who hugged her back. she didn't want to admit that she missed the girl but a day without her was like a day without the sun in obx, cold, alone and horrifying.
"i did, you look amazing by the way" she told her and sarah smiled as they pulled away. they saw topper and kelce staring at them and juliette sighed
"when will he get the hint that i don't want anything to do with him?" she asked sarah and sarah shrugged before they looked around and saw kiara with pope. then she saw jj and the bruises on his face and she seethed.
"I'm gonna go talk to pope, ill be back in a little bit" she told her and sarah nodded as topper walked over to her and grabbed her arm pulling her away from juliette. jules walked over to pope and she hugged him with a smile
"i hate this more then life but I'm so glad to see you" she stated and he smiled before kiara scoffed and she looked at the ground. she hated the way she still blamed her
"kie, its great to see you" she told her and she scoffed as she walked away and pope looked at her with a sad smile. she saw jj walking over and she walked away to let them have their moment , she knew how pope felt about him and she wanted them to be together.
"juliette there you are, I've been looking for you" kelce said to her and she sighed as she looked around for anyone to save her from the predicament she was in
"I've just been around ya know, talking to people, dealing with things" she told him and then she saw the rest of the group walking past her and she turned to see that they were going to jj
"JJ, HEY" she called to him and she ran over to him as she wrapped her arm around his shoulder and he looked at her incredulously
"whatcha doing?" he asked her and she nodded her head to the group of guys that consisted of rafe, kelce and their friends. then she looked back at jj
"I'm saving myself from kelce and you from them. walk with me?" she asked him and he nodded as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and they turned to walk away together as kelce and the others watched.
"what do we now? we can't doing anything to her" kelce said to rafe and he groaned as they walked away and left the two of them to their senses and jj looked at her as they hid away from them and didn't make eye contact with them at all
"you know you didn't have to save me" he told her and she sighed
"I wasn't just saving you, kelce has a weird obsession with me and thinks that we're meant to be and I don't wanna deal with that anymore so if I can save myself from having to deal with him and you from getting the beating of a lifetime, then I'm gonna do it. But are you OK? Because it looks like that beating already got to you." she told him and he shrugged
"my dad gets a little bit aggressive" he stated
"I'm really sorry j, if you ever need a place to stay or someone to talk to you about it, I know we aren't close and I know you probably hate me because of what Kiara has said about me but I'm here for you now I'm gonna get back to the party so my parents don't kill me" she exclaimed and he nodded as she left but that gave the others the perfect opportunity to attack him.
due to this while she stood outside, she watched jj be dragged away by the security and she went to say something but kiara got to it before she did. she sighed and then she watched jj, kie, john b and pope run off and she watched sadly. she wished she could do that but she couldn't. she would never be able to do that.
however she didn't know anything that was happening on sarahs end and she would find out soon enough.
