Summary: Captain Kaldor takes you to Weyland after you sent out a signal on Cantonica. You try to press Captain Kaldor for information about your father and why he's protecting you...

Warnings: Cursing

~

You sit in a corner of Captain Kaldor's ship, handcuffed and being watched by him and his guards. He doesn't seem to take his eyes off of you.

"I know I'm attractive, but damn. You really can't take your eyes off of me, huh?" You snicker.

Captain Kaldor rolls his eyes. "I'm watching you so you don't try anything stupid. Don't get full of yourself."

"How long is this flight, anyway? Do you think you could get me a snack? I'm pretty hungry." You say, hoping to piss him off.

Can you blame yourself for wanting to piss him off after what he's done?

Captain Kaldor pays no attention to your most recent comment.

"What's up with the weird encryptions on your files? I also hear that my dad killed some Imperial guy. Are you still trying to suck up to him, or has him doing that lost your respect?" You continue.

"How did you- shit." Captain Kaldor turns around and looks at one of his guards. "Tell someone about our weak encryptions. Clone Force 99 has a clone with hacking skills. If this one was able to figure it out, then that clone could hack the entire system."

"Who should we tell, Sir?"

Kaldor growls in frustration. "I don't know, just... anybody!" He barks.

Captain Kaldor paces up and down the ship, pinching the bridge of his nose between two fingers. You listen to the sound of his boots against the sturdy metal of the ground. You hear Kaldor muttering various things to himself, but you can't make out any of the things he's saying.

You haven't gotten much sleep in a while, so you decide to close your eyes and attempt to rest.

~

As you open your eyes, you see that you're still on the ship.

"Why did you base need to be so far away?" You complain.

Kaldor doesn't acknowledge your comment.

"Sir." The soldier piloting the ship says to Captain Kaldor. "We're landing soon."

Kaldor nods, walking closer to you. He crosses his arms.

"Finally." You say. "I was wondering how long you would be brooding in the corner over there for."

"Get up."

You stumble slightly as you stand up. His face is close to yours, and you can practically feel his breath on your neck as he speaks.

"I hope you understand what you've gotten yourself into. What you've gotten me into."

"I'm well aware."

Once the ship lands on Weyland, Captain Kaldor grabs one of your arms, leading you off of the ship.

~

As you step off the ship, you're surprised to see a clear, blue sky with a few clouds and trees and mountains surrounding the Imperial base. You don't have time admire it, though as Captain Kaldor quickens his pace and yours along with it. You see various soldiers turn to each other, whispering. You suspect they're whispering about you and Captain Kaldor. Kaldor leads you through the hallways of the base until you reach an area with dozens of prison cells. He opens one of them and pushes you in it, taking off your handcuffs.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me you expected special treatment."

"Considering that you saved my life, I expected something.

"What I did doesn't mean anything!" Kaldor shouts.

You take a few steps back as he raises his voice. You see a twinge of guilt in his eyes. He looks like he wants to say something, but stays silent. You watch him walk away from your cell and into another hallway. You sit on the small, stiff bed in your cell. Then, it all hits you. Tears begin to form in your eyes making your vision blurry. You've abandoned your squad. They won't be able to find you, not unless Tech can decrypt the Imperial files, and even then, they wouldn't know that Weyland is the planet you're really on.

I've left them, and for what? A chance to see my father who has never wanted me?

It feels odd to cry about the squad. You've always pushed them away, and now the thing you want the most is for them to be with you. All this time you've tried to escape, and now, you may never see them again.

"I'm sorry..." You whisper through shuddered breaths. "I'm sorry..."

~

After a few hours, you hear footsteps approaching your cell. As he faces your cell, he displays his same hard, stoic, expression. Once he sees your bloodshot eyes and red face, however, his expression softens in an instant.

"I suppose I should tell you about what has happened so far." He states.

You nod and walk up to the barrier where he stands on the other side. You can tell Kaldor is shocked by your demeanor. You've always faced him with a sassy, confident, and stubborn attitude, but now...? You feel defeated, broken... like your whole world has been taken away. Once Captain Kaldor turns off the barrier between the two of you, he still puts the handcuffs on you, but he seems more gentle this time. You two walk in silence as he leads you to an empty room with a table and two chairs on opposite sides of it. It seems to be an interrogation room. A guard opens the room for the two of you and walks in after you both. Once you sit down, Captain Kaldor turns to the guard.

"Leave us."

The guard complies and leaves the room. Kaldor begins to take your handcuffs off.

"What are you-"

"It's nothing." Captain Kaldor says quickly.

He returns to seat. He lets out a long, tired, sigh. "Where to begin..."

"Tell me about the mission where you saved me."

Captain Kaldor hesitates. "...Very well."

~

"As you clearly are aware of, I was tasked to eliminate your squadron. I was not informed that you were part of Clone Force 99 until I saw you. Commander CT-9904 once mentioned that he had a daughter- you. I knew you were his daughter when I saw you. Tall, silver hair, brown eyes, long face... you fit the description. Besides, I don't know what other woman would be travelling with a group of rogue clones besides you. I was trying to do my job. Finish the mission. Trying to... be a good soldier."

"Then why did you never finish the job?" You ask, looking him in the eyes.

"You think I ever wanted to kill you all?" Captain Kaldor breaks eye contact with you. "Look, I know I'm not a hero. But I didn't want to be the villain, either."

"Then why not leave the Empire if you hate it this much?"

"I don't want to leave the Empire."

"Then why disobey your orders? You could've let me die. You had so many opportunities to kill me; to kill the squad. Why?"

"I don't know."

You start to feel more angry. "What the hell do you mean, 'I don't know'? There has to be a reason!"

Captain Kaldor raises his voice slightly. "And what would you do if you were in my position, Y/N?"

You decide not to push back. He's right, you wouldn't kill them if you were ordered to.

"It's not easy to make these calls. Trust me, I've done things I'm not proud of. Everyone has."

"Yeah, I get it, okay? Now tell me about my father."

~

     "That's classified."

You stand up and slam your fist on the table. "Don't pull that shit with me, Kaldor!"

"I'm serious! Only the Emperor knows about what they're doing to your father!"

"Then you'll help me find out."

"You'll be killed. Besides, isn't this enough for you? Did you ever think you'd get to see him again?"

You glare at him. "I did, but... that's right. I'm a mistake. My father doesn't want me. What was it that you said? That I 'didn't have his loyalty'?"

Captain Kaldor's left eye twitches slightly. He lowers his voice, trying to control his anger. "What do you want me to say, Y/N?"

You know you're giving into your anger, but you don't care about that right now. "Why do you always insist on insulting me? Putting me down?"

"Why do you hate me so much? What did I ever do to you?!" You scream.

Suddenly, you see Captain Kaldor fly across the room against the wall. He seems to be hurt fairly badly. You gasp and rush over to him.

"Get... away from me..."

"I'm so sorry... I- I don't know what happened."

"I should've known you were a kriffing Jedi...
