Wednesday's pov
A month later
I was now four weeks pregnant. I had a tiny bump that could be seen. Feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation, I gently caressed my growing belly, marveling at the new life beginning to form inside me. With each passing day, the bond between me and our little one grew stronger, filling me with a sense of wonder and joy. I walked over to Enid. As I approached Enid, a smile spread across her face as she noticed the gentle curve of my belly. "Hey there, Mama-to-be," she said softly, reaching out to tenderly stroke my bump. I giggled. "Do you know where Willow and Eli are?" I asked. Enid chuckled, her hand still resting on my belly. "Last I saw them, they were playing in the backyard," she replied. "Shall we go check on them together?" I nodded. Hand in hand, we made our way to the backyard, the anticipation of seeing our children playing filling us with warmth and happiness. I smiled. "Bath time, you two." I said. Willow and Eli looked up from their play, their faces breaking into wide smiles at the mention of bath time. "Okay, Mommy!" they chorused, running towards us eagerly. I then walked inside with them. I started the bath and got the soap and the bubble bath and put it in the water. Willow ran over to me with a bath bomb. "Wow, what a colorful bath bomb!" I exclaimed, admiring Willow's choice. "Let's drop it in and watch it fizz." I gently guided her hand as she released the bath bomb into the water, and together we watched as it dissolved, filling the tub with bursts of color and fragrance. Willow giggled and Eli walked in with some toys. I looked over at him. "Great job bringing the toys, Eli!" I praised, smiling at him. "Let's make bath time extra fun today."
I then got the two into the tub. I sat down on the toilet cover, giving them time to play for a bit. As Willow and Eli splashed and played in the tub, their laughter filling the bathroom, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for these precious moments with my children. Watching them enjoy simple pleasures like bath time reminded me of the joy that comes from being a parent.
After the bath, I got them dressed and then We went and cuddled in bed. I rubbed my belly and was on my phone while the kids watched TV. Snuggled up together in bed, surrounded by the warmth of our family, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. With one hand gently caressing my growing belly and the other scrolling through my phone, I cherished these quiet moments of togetherness, grateful for the love and bond that enveloped us. "I love you." I said to Enid. "I love you too," Enid replied, turning to me with a smile that reflected the depth of her affection. In that moment, surrounded by our children and wrapped in each other's embrace, our love felt infinite and unbreakable.
