Wednesday's pov
5 months later
I was now nine-months pregnant. I waddled over to Enid, who was sitting on the couch. I rubbed my belly. Tonight was a full moon and the night I'd have to go into the hospital for the birth of the baby. Enid looked up, her eyes filled with a mix of excitement and readiness. "You're glowing," she remarked, offering a comforting smile. The anticipation of the full moon and the impending arrival of our baby added a sense of magic to the air. As the night approached, the journey toward the hospital became a pivotal moment in our family's story. "I am?" I asked as I looked at her. I rubbed my belly. Enid nodded, her eyes softening with affection. "Absolutely," she replied. "The glow of motherhood suits you well." The tender exchange and the gentle belly rub highlighted the beauty of this special time, as we prepared for the transformative night that would bring our newest family member into the world. "Oh, happy birthday." I said to Enid. "I'm sorry the baby has to be born on this day and we can't go anywhere.".
Enid grinned, her eyes reflecting gratitude. "It's the best birthday gift," she said, placing a hand on my belly. "Welcoming our baby into the world is a celebration in itself. We'll have many birthdays to celebrate together as a family." The shared understanding and the acceptance of the unique circumstances added a layer of warmth to the special day, turning it into a memorable chapter in our family's journey. "I-i know but don't you want to go somewhere atleast." I said. "I'm sorry.". Enid gently squeezed my hand. "Being here, welcoming our baby, is the perfect place to be," she reassured me, her eyes filled with love. "There's nowhere else I'd rather be on my birthday." In that moment, the understanding and connection between us transformed the ordinary setting into a space filled with the profound joy of building a family together. I smiled.
In the Night, the full moon had already taken full place. Enid had already transformed and we were making our way to the hospital. Eli was in the backseat, he had turn 2 a couple weeks ago. I looked at him and he was shocked because he didn't know about Enid being a Werewolf. As we made our way to the hospital under the glow of the full moon, Eli's wide-eyed astonishment reflected in the rearview mirror. The revelation of Enid's transformation added a layer of intrigue to the night, blending the extraordinary with the imminent joy of welcoming a new family member. The journey to the hospital became a unique chapter in our family's story, written under the enchanting light of the full moon.
When we arrived at the hospital, I helped Eli out the car and walked to the hospital with him and Enid. "Puppy, could you lessen the amount of hair on your body?" I asked. Enid, in her werewolf form, nodded understandingly. She began to shift, reducing the amount of fur covering her body, making the scene at the hospital more conventional. As we walked towards the entrance, the blend of the extraordinary and the ordinary in our family's journey continued to unfold under the watchful gaze of the full moon. The medical staff gathered around us and took me to the labor room. I laid on the bed. I wasn't feeling any contractions. The medical staff attended to you as I stood by your side, the atmosphere in the labor room filled with anticipation. The absence of contractions added a layer of calm before the storm, a moment of quiet before the joyous chaos of welcoming our baby into the world. The full moon outside seemed to cast its glow upon this pivotal night in our family's story.
Once the baby was delivered, they cleaned it and checked on it. They then handed me the baby girl. I smiled as looked at her. The room filled with a quiet joy as our baby girl was placed in your arms. The tender moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in our family's story. As you smiled down at her, the full moon outside seemed to illuminate the room with a gentle glow, blessing the arrival of our newest family member. "I'm going to name her Willow." I said. I rocked Willow in my arms and kissed her forehead. "Willow, a beautiful name," Enid whispered, my heart swelling with love for our newborn daughter. The quiet atmosphere in the room, filled with the soft glow of the full moon, provided a serene backdrop to the precious bonding moment between you and Willow. The journey of our family continued with the arrival of this little bundle of joy, weaving new threads into the tapestry of our shared experiences.
