Glynda glared at her scroll as she took team RWBY and JNPR's names off the roulette pool. "I shouldn't have investigated." The woman sighed, regretting ever sticking her nose in Raziel's business.
Even if she didn't, though. The Professor knew that it would get her involved sooner or later. "Maybe it's for the better." No matter how much she hated getting an addition to her ever-growing responsibilities, it put her at ease, knowing she could guide it instead of being out of the know.
Her gaze moved toward teams RWBY and JNPR, the latter's leader still in the infirmary after being overworked yesterday. "For someone who used his Semblance for the first time, Mr. Arc did well." She complimented, refreshing the pool to see if her changes were kept.
Raziel suggested she exclude the students in her classes for now while they acclimate to Runeterra's influence. Raziel had reassured her that they wouldn't slack off as his dimension is always open for her and the students to train.
Glynda Goodwitch heard the bell ring, signifying that it was the start of her classes and the toll for any latecomers.
"Alright, class. We're almost nearing the Vytal Festival, so let's use the time to equip you more for the upcoming tournament." Glynda said, quickly looking over the attendance.
Halfway through, the doors to her classroom opened, and all the students immediately came to look, awed at the brave or stupid student who dared show up after the bell had already rung.
Glynda, a bit ticked herself, looked up to scold the student. She may have been forgiving the first few weeks of classes since the newly admitted students were still getting used to Beacon's schedule, but now they should know better than to be tardy, especially since her class was the second for the day.
Glynda's eyes widened. "Good afternoon, students. I am not intruding or anything, am I? Professor Goodwitch?" Ozpin stood there.
It took her a second to recollect herself. "Of course not, Headmaster. The students would love to show off what they've learned under Beacon's tutelage." Glynda immediately replied, knowing little was needed to gain Ozpin's attention.
"What is Ozpin doing here!?" Glynda asked no one. It was rare for Ozpin to personally go into the instructor's classrooms, especially with a class underway, not when he could watch on his security feed.
"Had he caught on?"
"That's wonderful. I'm sure the students won't disappoint." He smiled at them as a sign of trust, but it was wrongly interpreted by the students, who most had already sunken into their seats in fear.
"I just have one little request. It's a bit childish, actually..." Ozpin shifted a little, trying to ease the students that he was not here to critique but to be present.
"Anything. Headmaster."
"It had been quite some time ever since I'd been the one to initiate the choosing sequence for the mock battles. May I?" Ozpin asked, his hand already out to receive her scroll.
Glynda mustered a forced smile as she nodded, the headache already beginning. "Let me just set this up for you." Glynda shifted to her side, obstructing the Headmaster's view of the screen as she attempted to return team RWBY and JNPR to the pool of candidates.
Ozpin chuckled, seeing the panic in Glynda, "Need I warn you again, Ms. Goodwitch, not to use Beacon-provided devices for personal use." He cheekily teased, sending a playful wink to the students.
The students were torn from laughing to get on the Headmaster's good graces or not, lest they want to suffer Goodwitch's wrath.
The woman shrugged it aside and continued with her task, her face reddening from Ozpin's teasing. She breathed in before turning around to face her students once more. "Here you go, Headmaster."
