Minho lay on the bed looking up at the fluorescent lights on the ceiling.
The barracks were another abandoned building that had been thrown together with beds and blankets. Pictures of loved ones scattered around was the only thing that made that place feel lived in. Even if it was by many, it still felt at least a little like home.
Especially when they'd all sit around and play card games.
Minho sighed.
His mind had been racing all day and he wondered if he could go back. Go back to Chan and the rest of the family that he had created.
He didn't want to be here fighting this cause anymore.
The door to the barracks opened.
Though Minho ignored it simply because many people came and went through this building to gather things throughout the day.
Scuffing of boots was heard in faint echoes around the room until they stopped.
"You're a liar," Jisung whispered and watched Minhos face turn from nothing more than bored to surprise at his voice.
Minho sat up on his bunk and looked at Jisung with wide eyes.
"What are you—"
"You lied!" Jisung yelled and took a step forwards as he threw files at Minho. Papers flew everywhere and fluttered to the ground in seconds.
Minho stood as he looked at the papers on the ground. Several images of jisungs father dead staring him in the eyes before he peeled them away and looked up.
"I had no choice," Minho said and looked up at Jisung with tired eyes.
"You killed my dad," Jisung yelled and shoved Minho harshly, "you killed him!"
Minho took a few steps back and swallowed harshly.
"Yet we're not going to talk about how you sexually assaulted me?" Minho said and shrugged as he stood there.
"It's not the same—"
"I don't care!" Minho yelled over Jisung, "you're selfish,"
"Watch your mouth Minho I swear to—"
"What are you gonna do huh?" Minho asked and held his arms out, "you're in my domaine now. One wrong move and you'll end up like your dad,"
Jisungs eyes flashed with that sense of insanity that Minho used to make excuses for. The one he would push aside and do whatever he wanted with.
Jisung parted his lips to speak before the doors to the barracks opened again.
Minho looked over at the door, seeing the commander walk inside by himself. He knew given the opportunity, he'd take any chance to kill a civilian. Regardless.
"What's this?" The commander asked with an amused smile on his face as he tilted his head a small bit.
Minho glanced between the commander and Jisung with nothing more than fear on his face.
"This," the commander said and motioned to Jisung as he stopped a few feet away from him, "is what made you fail your mission?"
"I didn't fail—"
"Then why have you yet to give me information if you have it," the commander interrupted with a raised eyebrow, "if you have information, why are you holding out for this insane kid,"
Minho looked at Jisung who held nothing but pure anger on his face. Minho didn't want his two worlds to collide yet here he was. Watching both planets crash and burn together in a fit of anger and frustration and insanity.
"You see," the commander said and made his laps around Jisung as he spoke, "we've known you were here the moment you stepped foot on this district.. cameras still capture everything here,"
Jisung looked at Minho for a long moment before the commander made one swift movement. He brought his gun out of his holster and smacked Jisung over the head with it, making his knees crumble in the process as he fell. The psycho one blinked several times as he tried to stay awake and held the back of his head tightly.
"So why did you do it huh? To get Minho back..? Do you love him? Or perhaps, did you two think you were going to be able to pull this off? Infiltrating my base and fucking off together?"
The commander looked at Minho for an answer.
"I despise him," Minho said as he looked at jisungs wet hair that was soaked with blood from the wound on his head. Even though his heart ached with every drop of his being seeing him hurt, he deserved it, he told himself.
"Oh really?" The commander said and stopped beside Minho.
"And what exactly makes you despise him hm?"
Minho was quiet for a moment as he pondered.
"Speak," the commander said and urged Minho even harder by taking an intimidating step forwards.
"He-" Minho paused, "he's crazy,"
The commander tilted his head back with laughter as Jisung looked up at him with eyes full of rage. The only thing that kept him in place was the splitting headache he now had from the wound to his skull.
"Crazy, you say," the commander hummed as he his laughter died down, "aren't we all?"
Minhos eyes lingered on Jisung who glared daggers into him.
"Not like that.." Minho whispered as he relived the night before in his mind. It was fresh still, as fresh in his mind as it could be. If you could pick his memories off of a vine that's how new it was in his mind.
"So tell me, minho," the commander spoke again.
"If you despise him so much, why isn't he dead?"
Jisungs eyes flashed something Minho couldn't place. Something that had Minhos heart pounding. He wasn't sure if it was good or bad either.
"I don't know," Minho said honestly and tore his eyes away from Jisung to look at the man in power.
"Then shoot him,"
