Chan, seungmin, Felix, Jeongin, Hyunjin and Jisung sat in the main room of the factory.
Everyone was quiet as they waited.
Though Jisung knew what was coming. It was an announcement that was mandatory for everyone to listen to. Word had spread quickly about it though secrets were being kept and nobody knew what was truly coming.
Everyone feared that it was simply a declaration of more to come. More blood maybe but nobody knew.
There was no way anyone could know.
The static on the radio slowly turned quiet as mics were turned on. The sound of a man clearing his throat was heard before he began speaking.
"Today marks a day in history." The voice spoke and everyone looked around as they realized it wasn't the commanders voice. Besides Jisung who kept his eyes on the radio.
"It marks a day that the reform has officially retired. Government will come back to order in due time and will begin to restore our economy as it once was. Global warming efforts will be put back into place to save our world.
It marks the day where armed and unarmed are now one."
Chan gasped and grabbed his boyfriends' hands as he leaned forwards to listen closer. His heart was pounding, thinking this was some trick.
"Last night, we received some news that may be saddening for some, and hopeful to others.
The commander was found dead in barrack #64 with a gunshot wound to his head. Following in the steps of his father, he passed in the most gruesome way. Next to him was Soldier #297.
Lee Minho, age twenty, who had just returned home from his mission, found with two gunshot wounds to his chest"
Felix gasped and stood as he stared at the radio
"Minho?!" He yelled as tears filled his eyes.
Jeongin covered his mouth and Hyunjin looked around shocked.
Chan and seungmin sat there, not knowing how to take in the information being given.
"Minhos dead," seungmin said softly.
"He was a soldier," Chan said and shook his head as he relived everything Minho had ever told him. Now he understood why the other said he couldn't trust him. Now he understood why he was afraid of being a failure to him.
Minho hadn't wanted that mission after he'd seen what they were fighting for and it was so apparent now.
"He was a great soldier. Though he didn't have much experience, he was very appreciated in his line of work. He will be greatly missed and heavily mourned here at the capital.
A Twenty one gun salute will be held later today at four PM to mourn the loss of someone so young. Soldiers and civilians are encouraged to attend the service being held in honor of his life lost.
The Commanders service will be held at noon today with the highest of respect shown. Though only family will be attending as it was in his wishes. He was a great commander and will severely be missed by friends, family and soldiers that he lead throughout this reform.
As for now, war is over and peace is among us as we lay them to rest.
More information will be provided as we gain politicians and presidents back into the system.
I thank you and this nation thanks you for never losing hope during these past seven years of hell.
Until we speak again,"
