Y/N's POV:
I was trying to focus on the food, the clinking of utensils providing a rhythmic distraction, when Mrs. Jeon's voice cut through the ambiance.

Mrs. Jeon: Jimin, the girl you used to talk about, when will you let us see her? Or perhaps follow JK's lead and bring her home as your bride?

Jimin: Ah, her. She belongs to someone else now.

Mrs. Jeon: Someone else? What do you mean?

Jeon: Someone else? What do you mean?

Y/N's POV:
He was looking at me as if I were the one who had slipped through his fingers and married another. As though I were the one who had abandoned him for someone else. I shifted uncomfortably, attempting to divert my gaze to JK, but what I saw startled me—

Y/N's POV:
—JK's eyes bore into Jimin with an intensity that seemed to ask a thousand unspoken questions.

And was Jimin really referring to me? But why? I hadn't been the one to walk away; I had fought tirelessly to—

Jimin:
It was me. I'm the one who walked away.

Mrs. Jeon: Walked away? Why? You claimed to love her deeply!

Jimin: Maybe it wasn't love after all. Maybe it was just a fleeting emotion that's long gone now.

Mrs. Jeon: Didn't she try to make you stay?

Jimin: It doesn't matter now. I don't deserve her.

Y/N's POV:
My heart clenched with disbelief. Why wasn't he mentioning my efforts to make things work? Why shoulder all the blame himself?

Jimin: [continuing] Let's drop it. I'm not worth her time.

JK: Let's just eat and put an end to this discussion. [his tone frigid]

Y/N's POV:
The atmosphere descended into a heavy silence, each word hanging in the air like unspoken accusations.

[After the Dinner]

Y/N's POV:
As JK, Jimin, and V hastily excused themselves, claiming an urgent business, I felt a whirlwind of questions churn within me. I yearned to confront Jimin, to demand answers, but uncertainty gripped me.

I can't believe he had the audacity to say that, to twist the narrative as if he's the victim. "I don't deserve her" – what a load of crap. You don't get to play the martyr when you're the one who left me shattered. You concocted excuses to escape, to evade the responsibility of staying with me. You painted me as clingy, and needy, as if it were my fault. I thought I knew you and believed in your integrity, but I was a fool.

I didn't want to dredge up the past, but why did Mrs. Jeon have to drag it into the conversation? And why did Jimin have to deflect, to shift the blame onto himself in such a pathetic attempt to absolve himself? I have so many questions burning inside me, but do I even have the right to ask them now? After all, I'm now the wife of one of his closest friends, Jeon Jungkook. I'm Mrs. Jungkook, not Mrs. Park.

I haven't moved on, but I refuse to dwell in the past. I won't let him paint me as the one who abandoned him. I'll focus on building my future, my family, and my life with Jungkook. He's my husband now, and I'll make damn sure Jimin remembers that too.

I'll confront Jimin soon to put an end to this twisted chapter of our lives. And maybe I'll even confide in Jungkook about my past, though we're still navigating our relationship. But today, I'll muster the courage to have that conversation. Today, I'll take the first step towards closure.

As I heard footsteps approaching, my curiosity peaked. Turning to see who it was, I found myself face to face with -
