Y/N's POV:
The tension in the air was palpable as Jimin and I sat across from each other in the dining room. His expression was a mix of concern and determination, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease settle in the pit of my stomach.
"Y/N, can we talk? Alone?" Jimin's voice was gentle but insistent, leaving little room for argument.
I glanced at JK, silently pleading for his understanding. He nodded, his gaze steady, giving me the permission I needed to have this conversation with Jimin.
"Umm... I..." My words faltered as I struggled to find the right thing to say.
Jimin turned to JK, his eyes seeking reassurance. "Are you okay with it?"
JK's response was measured, his voice steady. "It's up to Y/N. If she's okay, I'm okay. If she's not, I'm not."
I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts before replying. "It's breakfast time. Let's talk later, Jimin."
Jimin hesitated, then nodded reluctantly. "Alright. But we will talk."
As we sat down for breakfast, the tension between us was palpable. My mind raced with questions, uncertainties swirling in my head. What did Jimin want to talk about? Why did he seem so insistent on having this conversation now?
After breakfast, I found myself drawn to the garden. I needed time to process everything that had happened.
But before I could retreat, Jimin approached me, his expression serious. "Y/N, we need to talk."
I hesitated, torn between the desire to confide in him and the need to navigate this situation on my own terms. But in the end, curiosity got the better of me, and I found myself nodding in agreement.
As we stepped into the hallway, Jimin took a deep breath, his gaze intense. "Y/N, I know things have been difficult for you lately," he began, his voice soft but earnest. "And I want you to know that I'm here for you. Always."
I swallowed hard, the weight of his words sinking in. "Thank you, Jimin. I appreciate your concern."
He reached out, gently taking my hand in his. "But I can't help but worry about you. You deserve someone who understands you, who supports you unconditionally."
His words stirred something deep within me, a mixture of gratitude and discomfort. "Jimin, I... I appreciate your concern, but you need to respect my boundaries. JK is my husband."
Jimin's expression faltered for a moment, a flicker of disappointment crossing his features. "I understand that, Y/N. But I can't help how I feel. I care about you deeply, and seeing you in pain hurts me too."
I pulled my hand away, feeling a pang of guilt at his words. "I know, Jimin. But we need to be realistic about our situation. JK and I are still married, legally. And until that changes, you need to respect our relationship."
Jimin nodded, his gaze downcast. "I know. I'm sorry, Y/N. I just... I worry about you."
I sighed, feeling the weight of his concern pressing down on me. "I appreciate that, Jimin. But I need you to understand that JK and I are legally husband and wife right now and a third person isn’t good for any of them.
He looked up, his eyes filled with determination. "I understand. And I'll do whatever it takes to support you, Y/N. Just know that I'm here for you, no matter what."
