Eep!

The three walk through the forest, heading off to their next destination. Bolt holds Lily's basket, playing with the little one as she giggles. Kiera holds the red kitten, because so far he's only been calm in her arms, freaking out when the others get too close to him.

As they walk, they hear the faint sound of a little "Eep!" Noise. They all look around, curious as to what the sound is and where it's coming from. They hear the noise again, coming closer. A high pitched voice making an "Eep!" Sound. They look around again, seeing a little glowing blue light. They all head towards it, wanting to know what the source of the light is.

As they approach, they see more lights of a variety of colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, and more. As they get a closer look, they see these lights are really little creatures! Creatures with little circular heads that are the same colour as the light they emit, they're little bodies being the same, along with little stubs for arms and feet, looking like little spheres connected to them. They have little wings on their back, and all have pure white eyes, no mouths. They fly around the group, all making little "Eep!" Noises with their high pitched voices.

"What...are these things?" Kiera asks as she studies them.

"I'm not actually sure! I don't believe I've ever seen one before!" Bolt speaks in disbelief at the fairy-like things he's seeing.

"They're called eeps!" Pipit says, smiling at the sight of them as she analyzes the little creatures.

"Eeps?" Kiera asks, still not exactly sure what they are or what they do, whether they're a threat or a trustworthy creature.

"Yep! Eeps! They're quite interesting creatures! Each colour represents a different mood! If they touch you, your mood will change to theirs!" Pipit explains.

"Woah! Cool! They're so cute!" Bolt says in awe, enjoying the sight. "So which mood does each colour represent?" He asks.

"Well, red is anger, orange is energetic, yellow is happy, green is calm, blue is sad, purple is scared, pink is love, etc!" Pipit says, loving these little creatures.

Suddenly, Bolt hides behind Kiera, seemingly terrified as he shakes and grips her shoulders.

"The hell's wrong with you?" Kiera asks, raising an eyebrow as she looks back at him.

"I-I don't know!" He says in a fearful voice, as Kiera notices the little purple eep snuggling into the fur on his shoulder. She gently picks up the eep, sending the little creature flying again as Bolt calms down. "Wow, they really do change your mood." She says, seeming a bit more intrigued now.

A green one lands on Kiera, though her mood doesn't change much due to her already being relatively calm. An orange one lands on Pipit, making her even more energetic than she already is. A few try to land on Red, but being the cat he is, he bites at them, attempting to eat them. A blue one then lands on Lily's forehead, causing her to begin balling.

Kiera grabs the eep off of Lily's head, grabbing a yellow one and placing it on her head to make her happy again. She smiles when it works, finding these little critters to be quite interesting.

Bolt pulls out an empty jar from Kiera's backpack, opening it as he looks at Pipit. "Hey Pipit, what do these things eat?" He asks.

"Well, they don't really eat anything. They use water as their food." She responds.

"Perfect." He says, taking a bottle cap and filling it with water before putting it in the jar, along with some grass and flower peddles. At the sight, some of the eeps fly into the jar, making themselves at home and loving the new environment. Bolt uses his claws to poke some holes into the lid so they'll have some air to breathe. "These little guys may come in handy on our journey." He says as he smiles.

They continue to play around with the little eeps, enjoying the little break as the sun starts to set. The eeps start heading away as the group follows, curious as to where they're going, soon enough, they lead them to a beautiful cave that looks as if it's glowing blue, a glimmering body of water at the back of it with a waterfall, creating a peaceful sound and atmosphere. They all smile as the eeps lead them towards a blanket of leaves, as Bolt and Pipit lay down to rest.

Kiera sets Lily's basket down beside her in order to make sure she's safe. As Lily looks like she's about to cry, Kiera grabs a bottle out of Pipit's compartment and begins to feed her, taking care of her as if she was her mother. She rocks her gently, soothing her as she continues to feed her.

Lily quickly finishes her bottle, as Kiera sets the empty one back into Pipit's compartment and burps Lily. Once done, she gently places her back into her basket, covering her with a little blanket and rocking the basket until she falls asleep. Kiera then lays down on the blanket of leaves, just looking up at the roof of the cave as the others sleep, her just trying to join them in their slumber.

Red walks over to her, heading over to her chest and pawing at it before curling up and getting comfy. Kiera smiles, petting the kitten as she tries to sleep. Red notices her struggles and licks her hand in attempts to calm and comfort her.

A purple eep lands on her forehead, yet it doesn't seem to make her afraid. This one seems to be a different shade of purple than the other one that made Bolt so afraid before. Instead of making her tremble, it makes her feel tired.

She yawns, starting to drift off as she closes her eyes, cuddling with the kitten on her chest. She heads off to a dream world, sleeping peacefully for the night.

Little does the group know, out in the trees, someone is watching from the branches. A regular cat, a black one that blends in with the night as he sits on a tree branch. His eyes are completely purple and glowing with no whites, just like how Bolt's eyes are completely cyan.

He observes the group, watching them closely and studying their every moves. A small purple portal opens up behind him as he turns around and walks through it, ending up in some sort of black void as he walks towards someone.

The cat speaks in a calm and gentle tone, yet powerful. "They've got the first of the Mighty Six." He says, referring to Red.

A voice from the darkness speaks back, seeming to have the same sort of tone as the cat. "You mean one of the Rainbow Cats?" He asks.

"It's a pathetic name, I'm not calling them that." The cat replies, sitting down as he looks at the figure in the dark.

"Fine then. Keep an eye on them, report to me everything they do. I don't want a single detail left out." The figure says.

"Will do. Do you think they'll be able to stop him?" The cat asks.

"If they're this determined, I'd say it's possible. But not without those cats it's not. If they want to beat him, they'll need to expand their crew." The figure explains, seemingly thinking this all through.

"Well, I'll report back to you then." The cat says, walking off.

"Much appreciated. Don't let those cats out of your sight..." The figure says, as the cat nods and opens another portal, heading out...
