Forced Love

[Scene: A lavish palace room. Harumi Jade and Lloyd Garmadon sit across from each other, looking distressed. Their parents, King Hiroshi and Queen Misako, stand at the head of the room with stern expressions.]

King Hiroshi: Harumi, Lloyd, we have called you here to discuss an important matter.

Queen Misako: Yes, it concerns the future of our kingdoms.

Harumi Jade: [anxiously] What is it, Father? Mother?

Queen Misako: And it is time to strengthen that alliance further.

King Hiroshi: By joining our families through marriage.

Lloyd Garmadon: [shocked] Marriage?!

Harumi Jade: [voice trembling] But... to whom?

Queen Misako: To each other.

[Harumi and Lloyd exchange a shocked glance, then turn back to their parents.]

Lloyd Garmadon: You can't be serious.

Harumi Jade: This... this is outrageous!

King Hiroshi: It is for the greater good of our kingdoms.

Queen Misako: And your duty as royalty.

Lloyd Garmadon: Duty? What about our feelings?

Harumi Jade: [voice breaking] I won't marry someone I don't love!

King Hiroshi: Love is a luxury we cannot afford. The alliance must come first.

Queen Misako: You will marry, and you will do so willingly.

Lloyd Garmadon: [defiantly] I refuse!

Harumi Jade: [nodding in agreement] So do I!

King Hiroshi: [voice hardening] You have no choice in this matter. It is decided.

[Harumi and Lloyd exchange a worried glance, realizing the gravity of their situation.]

Harumi Jade: [whispering to Lloyd] What do we do now?

Lloyd Garmadon: [determined] We'll find a way out of this, together.

[They clasp hands, resolved to defy their parents' wishes and forge their own path.]

[King Hiroshi and Queen Misako exchange a stern glance, sensing the defiance in their children's resolve.]

King Hiroshi: You both underestimate the importance of this union. It is not merely for the sake of our kingdoms, but for the prosperity of our people.

Queen Misako: You must understand the weight of your responsibilities as future rulers.

Harumi Jade: [steadfast] We understand our responsibilities, but we cannot sacrifice our happiness for the sake of political convenience.

Lloyd Garmadon: [firmly] Our duty does not outweigh our right to choose whom we love.
