After attuning my nen to the Blitz Glaive and refamiliarizing myself with it's abilities, I finally take a moment to look down and notice my attire, or lack there of. All that remains is a single silken cuff that was once part of my uniform made by Pike, as well as the loose-fitting pants of said uniform. Though calling them pants would also be inaccurate, as they now should be called tattered shorts with a few pieces of silk hanging on by threads. Huh, looks like that last fight wasn't too kind to my clothes, better get some new ones when this is all over. I thought.

Not long after the realization, Gon makes his appearance, casting his gaze all across the arena as he sees it for the first time while the crowd, who has been mostly silent after my initial reappearance, goes wild once more. A mix of wonder and hesitancy is visible in Gon's eyes. I look down at his hand to notice him carrying a metal wand with a ruby adorning the top. That right there is one of Jovesworth's favorite weapons, the Conjurer's Rod. The ruby atop it can turn into any metallic weapon the user can imagine.

Before long, the booming voice of the announcer drowns out the crowd once more, welcoming Gon to the Arena, somewhat startling him. "Welcome challenger, to Hell's Arena! I can sense an ocean of latent strength within you, boy. Will it be enough to give our returning participant, Alejandro, a run for his money? Let's find out with a grueling and bloody battle! Oh don't be shy, I'm sure you will put on a spectacular show, isn't that right audience?" the crowd roars louder after the question.

Gon scratches the back of his head nervously, though doesn't verbally respond to the voice.

"Now then everybody, seeing as we have our two contestants, why don't we show our support by giving the ma bit of a hand, ey?" The announcer says. A second later, members of the crowd begin throwing various melee weapons into the arena. Knives, swords, spears, axes, hammers, maces, clubs, flails, all of different make and styles fall into the the sands across our battlefield.

"U-uh, thank you, everyone. I don't think I'll use any of these though." Gon explains. However, I do see him looking around at all the weapons, likely for inspiration on what to make with the Conjurer's Rod.

"Ready, Gon?" I ask.

Gon turns to me, nodding. "Yeah." he affirms, albeit nervously.

"Good. Then our first lesson is a test of speed. All you need to do right now, is land a single hit on me." I explain.

Gon makes that odd gesture again, exclaiming "Osu!" and getting into a combat stance.

As I stand there, waiting for the battle to begin, I offer "Alright, I'll let you make the first move. Make it count."

"Right!" he says readily. However, though there was undeniable conviction in his voice, he doesn't move, rather, he seems to be staring at the ruby on the wand. Seconds go by with him just staring, growing visibly frustrated as time goes on. So much so, that the veins on his head begin bulging out. And he just keeps staring... and staring, and staring, and staring until he finally asks "So um... how do I get this thing to work?"

I'd be a liar if I said the question didn't catch me off guard. I would have assumed Jovesworth would have explained how to use it. Feeling slightly disappointed, I sigh and sit down, letting my weapon rest in the sand. "Relax Gon, let's take five and figure this out. Sit, and tell me what the problem is."

Gon exhales, and does as instructed, sitting down with the wand on his lap. "I noticed some writing on this thing, but I don't know how to read it. Do I need to know some kinda password to use it?"

Shaking my head, I answer "No, not at all. That writing is Divine Script, it is what gives these weapons their powers. All you have to do is properly allocate your nen into the weapon, and will it's abilities into action."
