"What's so special about number 94?" Hina asks.
I can't find the words to answer Hina at first, as I am unable come up with a good explanation for a card that even I have never actually seen in person. I begin to zone out as I observe the myriad of complex runes drawn on the card, many of which I don't recognize.
"Alejandro?" Hina says, breaking me out of my trance.
"Huh? Oh... sorry, was lost in though for a sec." I reply.
A confused look crosses her face, and she asks again "So, why is 94 so special?"
"It shouldn't exist. As far as I was aware, all cards above 92 are gone, save for the hundredth spell, which was made in order to deal with spells from 93 to 99 in a worst-case-scenario. And yet, 94 is here, I thought Jovesworth destroyed them." I state.
Hina just blinks a couple times after my explanation before saying "Oh... Neat!"
Sighing at Hina's lack of understanding of the situation, I look back to the card and start thinking on what to do with it. After giving it some though, I find the best solution to be to simply destroy it so it doesn't become a problem. I attempt to rip the card, but as soon as I do, a dark aura flares up around it, protecting it from my attempts. Even using all of my strength, the card doesn't even get the smallest tear in it. My natural chimera ant strength coupled with the maximum power of my nen enhanced muscles aren't enough to cause the slightest bit of damage to the card. Seeing that I'm not getting anywhere with this current method, I drop the card to the ground and draw my sword, raising it in the air and pointing the tip downward toward the card on the ground. Mustering all the strength I can output, I bring down my sword that is empowered by the Divine Script unto the spell card. Unfortunately, albeit predictably, my attempt was in vain, as the card's aura was far too dense and powerful to be pierced by my blade, and was knocked out of my hands, landing on the ground, almost cutting Hina.
"Woah! Be careful!" she shouts, understandably startled.
"S-sorry..." I apologize to her before picking my sword back up.
"You'd better be, that thing coulda killed me! And then what would you do?!"
"Right..." Turning my gaze back to the card, I pick it up as well, trying to decide once more what my best option is. "I'm not fond of the idea, but maybe I can- Hm but should I?"
Hina goes silent, not knowing what's going on.
"Alright, here goes." I say to myself before using my body manipulation to open a hole in my own arm, tucking the card into it. Closing the hole in my arm and mending my flesh back together again, I turn to Hina and pat her head, smiling. "Thanks for the cards, you're a great help, Hina." I compliment.
An ear-to-ear grin is now plastered on her face. "Glad you noticed. Now c'mon! I wanna get to Yorknew to try all the human food." she commands.
Chuckling at her child-like innocence, I accommodate her request. "Of course, princess, lead the way."
Hina spins around, and together, the two of us resume our journey, once again trudging along the path laid before us on our way to Yorknew City.
Nearing the city
Yorknew is finally in sight, and even from this distance, the city looks absolutely massive, with skyscrapers that look like they are touching the clouds.
