Who woulda thought, me and Pitou-chan having a normal life together, no duty, no obligations, no constant planning and preparing, just peace. It's odd, but nice, just going Christmas shopping for gifts. I love it, seeing her face light up when she sees all the gifts we can get for Meruem and the others fills my heart with joy.

"Alright Allie, I think we have plenty for everyone at home, don't you?" Pitou asks.

I nod. "Yep. You wanna take them home and get it set up? I need to go grab something I had ordered specially for you."

"Oh? Is that so? I hope this isn't just so you can get out of helping me set up, that would be very unfortunate for you. I don't wanna have to punish you~" She responds.

I smirk, raising my brow. "So you don't want the gift? Alright then, I guess I'll just have to cancel the order. It's a shame, I thought you love fruitcake..."

This piques her interest, as her tail shoots up and she says "Fruitcake? Well... I can't quite say no to that, meow can I? Alright, go ahead, get the cake, I won't stop you. Just make sure that isn't just a bluff to avoid work, else I might have to nibble on your flesh instead of the cake you promised."

"Don't threaten me with a good time~" I quip, winking.

She giggles and walks off, waving goodbye.

I wave back and make my way to the bakery so I can pick up my order.

At the bakery

As expected, even though I had ordered the custom cake prior, I still had to wait in a line due to the holiday season. Thankfully it was shorter than the mess of a line for the people who didn't have a pre-order, getting a cake woulda been a nightmare that way. Honestly, I feel bad for the poor bakers. When I finally reach the front of the line, they have the cake ready, I notice the bags under their eyes and I couldn't help but tip them a few hundred jeni for their hard work. "Merry Christmas." I say.

They take the money and look up, giving me a tired but genuine smile in return. "Thank you sir, merry Christmas to you to. Have a good day."

I smile and nod, taking my cake and head home.

At the home of the chimera ants

I arrive back home as quickly as possible so I can help Pitou set up the decorations and presents. However, by the time I got back, she had already managed to get everything ready for when the others get here.
