Chapter 9

DARSH POV

I didn't even imagine the proposal would be in the restroom. She deserves best and yet here I'm waiting on my knees for her answer. She looked me with lots of emotions I know one of them is fear. She is afraid.

"Come with me." She made me stood and took my palm and started to walk. We were on the 3rd floor where bride is staying why would she bring me here? Before even I ask her, we entered a room it was way similar, yet the natural light was more because whole wall was faced balcony. When I turned to face her, she left my hand and went to dressing drawer she pulled some papers and a pen. Wait is it-

"Sign them and I'll say yes." She kept the papers and the ring which was in my palm minuets ago were side by side. I looked at her trying to understand.  But her face was emotional less.

"You know" I sat on the chair in front of the coffee table internally laughing. Taking the pen in my hand looking her "I'm a businessman Vritika, I love to take risk at my own risk." Looking into her eyes I signed the papers and took them and the ring in my hands went near her.

"Now it's your part of the deal come on" I indicated her hand. She gave me her left palm I kept the papers in her right palm, and I kneeled aging in front of her she was looking down at me.

"You don't have to kneel Darsh" she said softly and started to make me stand but I kneeled in front of her shaking my head.

"No Vritika you deserve even more, and it is my right. Even tho today I signed the papers I won't remember the divorce thing because this is the day is when I proposed you not planning to spread from you. I want to be with you Vritika. You can be with me; still jab tak tum chacho. Even if you want to go from me one day, and you can I won't stop because you'll be happy." She was just staring at me.

"So, will you please marry me? Vritika Sharma?"
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Yes" she said softly. Immediately I slide the ring and got up and hugged her. She was surprised by actions even I was surprised. She started to push me away. I took a back step looking at her.

"You don't have to do all this things Mr. Raichand. I know it is just for a show, so you don't have to do this here where we are alone." The words hit me in the heart. She thinks this all I did was just for-

"However, we will be divorced by the year end, and I don't want anyone to get attachment with me it would be difficult for them when I leave." She is just so stubborn she just wants to leave.

"Fine I'll not cross the line." She nodded and turned to leave.

I hurriedly took her wrist pulled her back she clashed with my chest. I wrapped my arms around her waist and nuzzled my head in her neck. 

"I said I won't cross the line, but I'll do all the duties what a husband should do." She was shivering from touch I can feel her heart is racing fast and mine is also. I closed my eyes so that this moment get freeze. She was not moving. I don't want to let go of her I-

"You should not get attach to me Darsh. I can't handle relationships. " She is afraid that I'll leave her. I turned her keeping my arms around waste itself she was looking down. I lifted her chin with my index finger keeping my left arm around her place.

"Don't worry about me rose. I'll protect you when you'll fall." my hand was caressing her back.

"let's go back everyone might be looking for us." As she got from my hold, she took her phone out which was vibrating. she looked at the caller I'd and Shaked her head then she turned to me.

"I'll take this call. Excuse me." before I would give any words to say she went to balcony passing from me. I peeked at the phone it was unknown number. she turned towards sky and answered the call. and the words made me so fucking furious. She is talking to her EX. maybe he called from other number I went near the window to hear what she is talking.

VRITIKA POV

As I was about to back to sangeet my phone vibrated again when I looked at the number it was the early one it's Adwait. I told Darsh to go back I need to take this call I passed him and went to balcony. I need to do something I can't be with Darsh; I answered the call-

"Carrots are you okay? what happen baby? you know you can tell me. I'm here I know I am not with you right now, but baby wait for few hours I'll be with you soon. I am in Delhi, there is flight for Udaipur in 20 min so just wait honey I'll be there soon. huh"

"You are in India?" I asked him dumbfoundedly.

"Yeah, Vritika I'm almost near you. we will be together soon." whenever he (Adwait) uses my name it means he is serious. I need to do something I can't get close to Darsh, the chemistry between us is good I cannot deny it and if in the process what if I fall for him, I can't risk it. 

"Okay, I'll be waiting just text me when you'll reach Udaipur airport, I'll come to pick you up okay?" I don't want to create anymore drama.

"As my lady says" he knows how to make me smile. " Safe journey. bye." I was about to cut the call from other side " I love you, carrots." he hung up and I smiled shaking my head. I turned just to crash with a hard chest. I almost lost my balance. and I feel a hand on my waist to make me stand.

"You almost gave me a heart attack." God didn't I told him to go? 

"What are you doing here?" he came close to me erasing the distance between us.

"Did I or didn't I tell you that I don't share what's mine." Ohh god did he heard the conversation-

"Vritika when I ask you a question I need a answer for it. So did I or didn't I told you that I don't share what is mine?" I nodded I don't know what to d-

"Words pretty girl words."

"You told." His hand rested on my nape (back of the head) bringing me close to him.

"And yet you are talking to other men. Don't you think you need a little punishment for that." What is he talking?

"Huh?" Now our lips are just a centimeters away .

"He.. he called me with another number and- and I couldn't stop by answering. " he smirked

"Well then even I can't stop myself then." With that he crashed his lips to mine.
