VRITIKA POV
As Veronica aunty came this side and she gave haldi to Mansi chachi. Then she came to me caressing the cheek she
"Bahut payari lagri ho beta" she kept nazar ka tika behind my left ear. "kisi ki nazar na lagae." I didn't know what to say to her, so I just wrapped my hands around her waist, she smiled and kissed my forehead.
"chalo abhi aap log bhi start karlo, par phele kon lagaye gaye ga?" aunty shouldn't had ask abhi sab chillare hai.
"Mai!! Mai!! Mai didi ki bhen hu so mai lagaugi. " Rai said but krish bhaiya kept his hand on her head.
"Tu abhi choti hai mai baada hu tho mai lagauga" he showed toothy grin and looked down at rai but when he looks up and the Sheepishness turned into gentlemanly when I see who he was looking there was my bff Ridhi with an eyebrow raised folded hands tapping foot on ground.
"Hogaya tum logo ka mai tumara papa aur tumara chacha hu aur Vritika meri beti se kaam nai hai so mai lagauga." Chachu said coming near chachi who was holding a bowl of haldi in it.
"Aap bhi na baacho K saath baache baanja the ho." She elbowed him and he wrapped his hand around her shoulder and kissed her temple. I'm overwhelmed.
"SAB SE PHELE MAI LAGAUGI MERI POOTI HAI" everyone turned towards the voice, all were smiling I stood and ran towards her and hugged he tightly "DADI" I almost cried my grandma is here with me.
"Bus maa ko hug milegi? Aapni bua kaam maasi ko bhul gai?" I break the hug to see bua and my maamu who is my phupa also standing behind my grandma.
"maami,maamu!!!" I hugged them and I felt extra two pairs of hands when I saw who it was...
"hame tho bhulgai tu!!! Angry bird" it was varun bhai and geet. At that moment V, ridhi, krish bhai, rai also joined them.
"Bus abhi usko choro mujhe baath karni hai meri Vritika se" dadi said while taking my arm and moving inside.
"Gayatri ji? Aap kisi ko bhul nai rahi hai?" Adwait came near us and looked at dadi, she shook her head and open her arms to him, and he went like a lost puppy.
"I know you love me more than Vritika" he kissed her cheek.
"Shut up dramebaz. I'll talk to you later but first let me see what is Vritika going on in her head." She slaped on shoulder and then took me out of garden to kitchen.
"phele kuch pele thi hu kithani garmi hai bhar." I smiled at her she didn't change a bit. After keeping glass down, she looked at me, I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Don't give me that look young lady. So, tell me what is going on here?" she is really no nonsense.
"Dadi vo chiku di shadi nai kar rahi hai so I thought... it would be good for me to volunteer and save family's name." she folded he arms and gave me a pointed look.
"Is this a school function? that if she isn't completing her task, you'll do behalf of her? You know Suhan called me the night she left. She asked my permission before taking the step. Did you do such thing? Did you ask me? Or at least tell me that you are the one getting married. That to a boy who you don't even know. And you better don't give me the saving name bullshit." I just kept my eyes down I can't make eye contact.
"Ye umid nai thi Vritika tumse. come here." keeping my eyes down I went near her. She took me into her arms.
"I sorry dadi." she took my cheeks and made me look her.
"You did nothing wrong Vritika, but omitting the truth is not good thing. Now tell me who was it? Naina? Did she told you to do or Aadarsh? huh?" I can't tell her, the relationship between dad and dadi is slowly getting good I can't ruin it.
"Kisi ne kuch nai kha meri maa ki saashumaaa..... ye mera decision hai" she chuckeled.
"Tik hai tu kherahi hai tho maan lethi hu, but remember one thing I'm with you all the time if you are looking for help then come to me or if tomorrow you change your mind about marriage, then I can help you run away. hmm?aabhi chale?" I nodded, she drank again one glass of water and we both went out.
DARSH POV
As Vritika's dadi took her from here, I also started to follow them but a hand on my shoulder stoped me when I turned to see who it is, the last person who I was expecting, Adwait.
"It's their personal matter and I think you should wait here for them." I raised my eye brows keeping my hands in the pocket.
"And you know that I'm marrying her which mean's I am also part of the family." he ran his hand in the hair.
"The marriage isn't done at, so you are not the part of the fam-" I cut him off
"YET, I know I am not Yet, but in just few hours I'll be." I gave a smirk.
"Well did we have a proper Introduction? No right. I am Adwait Vritika's Best friend as well as her EX." he forwarded his hand for handshake but wait he said.
"EX?" when did that happen didn't, she told me yesterday itself that she still has feelings for him? as I forwarded my hand as stared to shake, I looked up only to see he was looking back of my shoulder when I turned back who he was looking at it was only to see Vritika's eyes and nose are red. Did she cry?
As I was ready to approach Vritika this time only to held by my father.
"Beta chalo raasam ka time hora hai." he took me back with keeping a hand on my shoulder, when I turned back to catch Vritika's glimpses only to see that fucker is hugging her and her dadi.
her father and stepmom also joined them, but they were not to so including themselves in the function at least uncle was trying but not the aunty. I feel sorry for her but wait why am I feeling anything?
As we started haldi the music started to play, and everyone danced and sang along. I need to stay focus; I can't fall for her, or did I already started to fall? when I tried to look from the cloth which was just between us on the stage, I can just see yellow part of her face which is bluer. Is she happy? Is she regretting her decision? She will probably leave after the agreement we sign.
