Dua

Barbie day. I'm so nervous about today. Not only am in one of the biggest movies of the year my song is also featured in the movie.

"Dua you look like you're going to puke. Don't throw up while wearing this dress."Shannon my assistant says.

"So reassuring Shannon." I say and laugh.

"Dua the movie will be perfect. You look perfect. Your makeup team made you look even more like a Barbie than you usually do. Now come on we don't want to be late." Shannon says.

I take one last look at myself in the hotel mirror. Even though I live in LA. I thought it would be smarter to get a hotel for the day close to Beverly Hills since traffic is so unpredictable.

I'm wearing a see through Bottega Veneta silver gown. I thought it would be a good look since I'm mermaid Barbie in the film. I take a deep breathe in and out. I'm ready.

"Let's go." I say

We exit the hotel room. There's a security guard waiting outside the room to take us to the sprinter van. I follow behind him as head down to the lobby. I see a couple people staring as we walk through the lobby, I wave and smile at them as they take pictures of me. The second we step outside press are waiting. Once we're in the car I finally get some peace and quiet before the red carpet chaos. I close my eyes.

"Dua!" Shannon says as she's tapping my shoulder. I can't believe I fell asleep.

"We'll be there in five minutes. Here's a mint. Remember to smile everyone's watching." Shannon says.

I take the mint out of her hands and put it in my mouth. "Do you have a Red Bull in your giant purse?" I say.

"No, I'll find one once we're there." She says.

"Thank you, you're the best Shannon." I say.

"We've arrived ma'am." The driver says.

The door opens as Shannon steps out first. I take her hand as I get out of the van. I follow Shannon as she guides to where to go. I see so many people. This is the first big premiere I've ever been to.

I see Billie Eilish. "Hi hot Barbie!" Billie says.

"Hi Barbie!" I say back to her. We hug. Billie wasn't in the actual movie but she was on the set a lot and we bonded. She's a really amazing artist.

"How are you?" She says. "I'm nervous but once I get a shot of tequila and Red Bull I'll be good." I say. She laughs. "If you find tequila let me know because I need some. I'm worried about how people will react to the song. It's what ties the whole movie together." She says. "Billie the song is beautiful. Everyone will love it." I say. "Thank you, I'm going to go find my brother. I'll save you a seat next to us." She says. Billie walks away.

Shannon and I continue walking. I pose for press pictures and do a few interviews. Everyone wants to know when I'm releasing new music. I don't know yet. I'm just enjoying my vacation right now since Barbie is done.

Suddenly someone bumps into me. A giant someone. He grabs me by my arms before I fall.

"I'm so sorry. Are you ok?" He ask.

"Yes, I'm fine. As long as you didn't destroy this dress I'm good because it has to go back to the designer." I jokingly say.

He doesn't get the joke.

"Are you Dua Lipa?" He ask.

Who is this guy?

"Yes, and you are." I say.
