Dua

As Travis and I lounged comfortably in my home, enveloped in the quiet serenity of the surroundings, Travis's phone suddenly buzzed with a reminder. His eyes widened as he checked the notification, a look of realization crossing his face.

"Oh no," Travis exclaimed, his voice tinged with concern. "I completely forgot—I have to record the 'New Heights' podcast with Jason today."

I cocked my head in curiosity, not quite sure what the "New Heights" podcast was all about. Travis noticed my confusion and explained, "It's a podcast that my brother Jason and I do together. We talk about football, life, and whatever else comes to mind. It's a lot of fun."

A smile tugged at my lips as I nodded, intrigued by the idea. "Well, why don't you record it here?" I suggested. "I have a recording studio. Follow me." I say as I get up from the couch. "I have all the equipment you need, and it'll save you the trip back to your hotel."

Travis's face lit up with gratitude as he eagerly accepted my offer. Together, we made our way to the recording studio.

As Travis stepped into my at-home recording studio, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride wash over me as his eyes landed on the impressive collection of Grammy awards and other music awards that adorned the shelves and walls. Each award represented a milestone in my career, a testament to the countless hours of hard work and dedication.

Watching Travis take in the sight, I felt a swell of gratitude for his unwavering support and encouragement throughout my journey. His presence in my studio, surrounded by my most cherished accomplishments, filled me with a sense of joy and fulfillment unlike anything I had ever known.

As Travis approached the display, running his fingers over the smooth surface of the awards, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride knowing that he was sharing in this moment with me. His admiration and respect were palpable, reflecting the depth of our connection and his genuine appreciation for my music.

"This is insane Dua. You have so many awards in here. It's so impressive." He says.

"Thank you." I say and blush.

I then showed Travis how to use the equipment. As Travis settled in front of the microphone, ready to start recording, I took a seat nearby, eager to listen in on the conversation. Travis and Jason delved into their passionate sports talk, I found myself drawn to the energy and excitement filling the room. While sports weren't typically my forte, there was something infectious about their camaraderie that pulled me in.

Sitting nearby, I listened intently as Travis and Jason dissected every play and analyzed each team's performance with fervor. Their banter was filled with inside jokes and friendly jabs, showcasing the deep bond they shared as friends.

But as the conversation turned to the infamous joke Travis had made at the ESPY Awards about taking off my dress, I couldn't help but chuckle at the memory. When Jason jokingly asked if Travis had followed through on his joke.

Hey, Trav, remember what you said at the ESPYs? About getting Dua out of her dress?" Jason teased.

Travis shot back with a playful retort. "Oh man, I hope Mama Kelce isn't listening in on this conversation."

Laughter filled the room. "Don't worry, Trav, I'll make sure to send her the recording later," he joked.

"You know, sometimes a guy's just gotta speak his mind." Travis teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Travis grinned, his eyes meeting mine for a moment. "Well, guess what? Dua's actually here with me right now." He says

Jason's surprise face. "No way, really?" he exclaimed, as Travis pulled me into his lap into the camera view. "It's great to finally meet you, Dua, even if it's through the podcast." Jason says.

I warmly, feeling welcomed by Jason's friendly demeanor. "Likewise, Jason," I replied.

"Wait, you're British?" he exclaimed, his surprise evident in his tone.

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet the amazing Dua Lipa who is British." He says jokingly at the end.

His strong arms wrapped around me, holding me close as we continued the conversation with Jason.

But as the podcast progressed, Travis's playful gesture took on a more mischievous tone as he teased me about not letting me leave his lap. Chuckling at his antics, I tried to squirm free, but his grip only tightened, trapping me in his embrace.

"Looks like you're stuck with me for the rest of the podcast," Travis teased, his eyes dancing with amusement as he held me close.

Though I protested half-heartedly, secretly I was enjoying the playful banter and the warmth of Travis's embrace. As the conversation flowed, I found myself relaxing into his arms, content to stay wrapped up in the moment with him.

It was bittersweet because I know he has to leave for Kansas City soon. And I have to focus on music now that Barbie promo is over. I wonder how we'll handle long distance of whatever the heck this is. We're not dating yet but basically we are.
