Travis

As the festive sounds of Christmas filled the air, Dua's dad approached me with a thoughtful look in his eyes, signaling that he wanted to speak with me privately. We went to a corner away from the bustling holiday celebrations, and settled in for our conversation.

"Travis," he began, his voice serious yet gentle. "Can I have a word with you, son?"

A sense of anticipation washed over me as I nodded, following him to a secluded spot where we could talk without interruption. His words carried a weight of significance, and I knew this was an important moment.

"Travis," he continued, his gaze steady. "I can see how much you care about Dua. She means the world to me, and I just want to make sure that she's with someone who truly sees a future with her."

Taking a moment to gather my thoughts, I met his gaze with sincerity and determination. "Dukagjin," I began, my voice steady. "I love your daughter more than words can express. She's the most incredible person I've ever met, and I can't imagine my life without her."

A soft smile of understanding graced his lips as he nodded, his eyes reflecting warmth and acceptance. "I believe you, Travis," he said warmly. "And I can see that you're genuine in your feelings for her. Just promise me that you'll always cherish her and treat her with the love and respect she deserves."

Without hesitation, I made my vow. "I promise," I replied, my voice filled with conviction. "I'll do everything in my power to make her happy and to build a future together that's filled with love, laughter, and joy."

I hesitated for a moment before broaching the topic that had been weighing my mind. "Dukagjin, there's something I've been thinking about a lot lately," I began to say nervously.

"What is it, Travis?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.

Taking a deep breath, I forged ahead. "I've been thinking about the next step, I want to propose to Dua."

A look of surprise flickered across Dua's dad's face, followed by a warm smile of understanding. "Travis, that's a big decision," he said gently, his voice filled with wisdom. "Are you sure you're ready for that?"

I nodded, "I've never been more sure of anything in my life," I replied earnestly. "Dua means everything to me, and I want to spend the rest of my life making her happy."

Dukagjin smiled warmly, his eyes reflecting the depth of his affection for Travis. "I can see how much you love Dua. You have my full blessing." He says.

With his blessing, I felt a newfound sense of confidence and determination to move forward with my plans to propose to Dua.

"Thank you, Dukagjin" I said once more, his voice filled with gratitude. "I promise to cherish Dua and to make her the happiest woman in the world."

Dukagjin nodded, a proud smile gracing his lips. "You're a good man, and I would proud to call you my son-in-law."

And with those heartfelt words, I felt a surge of joy and anticipation for the future. With Dua's dad's blessing, I knew that our love was truly meant to be, and I couldn't wait to begin the next chapter of their journey together.
