Chapter Twenty nine:

-If you truly want to flirt without a commitment, maintain eye contact, show them you're boss and act like you’re a bad ass, people get attracted to bad asses. But if you’re good by nature, you should choose the other type of flirting… the type that leads to love… Not the one that leads to sex. Because good people, have naïve hearts.-

Ella stared at the bird sitting alone on the branch outside the classroom window, her mouth sighed and her eyes watered a bit.

It’s been about a month, Zack never missed a weekend with her, and whenever she tries to surprise him and go herself, he beats her to it.

Weekends became her best days, Maryanne is always depressed ever since the attack so Zachariah was Ella’s sunshine, Brian was still in the hospital, he woke up a month ago for a little bit, said his name to the doctor but then he fell into a deep slumber that’s called ‘Coma’

Mary lives with the guilt of turning Noah against them, Ella’s conversations with her best friend turned from what make up to buy to the fact that all of them were mistaken in this.

Not Noah, Maryanne or Ella on their own. The three of them joined for this result.

“Ella” Luke, a guy who seeped bit by bit into her life, whispered from behind her. Ella flinched slightly because it wasn’t expected. But she glanced at the teacher who had his back to the class and she took the opportunity to turn around to see Luke’s crazy blonde hair and his brown eyes smiling at her.

“Don’t gaze away, you’ll remember him” he mouthed before winking, Ella’s heart fluttered a bit and she smiled back.

Luke was a sexy, kind, trustworthy, friendly, funny guy. And surprisingly he wasn’t gay.

Ella remembers laughing so hard when she realized that he wasn’t gay, when he was a little taken aback by her reaction, she explained that it was just that gays were always a girl’s best friend.

But obviously, god sent the very straight Luke into her life to compensate Noah’s absence. Even though Luke was nothing like Noah. Luke was outspoken, confident and doesn’t give a crap about what people think.

Oh, and he doesn’t date just any one.

He reminded her of Zachariah Renaldo, the guy she fell for deep and hard.

Maybe that’s the main reason why she keeps him around… Because he eases Zack’s absence.

Class went by easily, the weather was getting colder and colder by the hour and Ella was getting more Zack sick every second.

“You confuse me.” Luke said as he laid his tray on the table and sat next to her. Ella rested her elbow on the table and supported her head on it before raising her eyebrow.

“Why is that?”

Luke took a huge part of his sandwich before shrugging and stretching his legs, which made him, look very sexy by the way.

Ella smiled at him before he spoke,” well, you see him every weekend. I mean, you shouldn’t fell so addicted to him.”

“Well, I am addicted to him.” She stated simply, Luke only rolled his eyes.
