Chapter 12: Old and New Friends In Our Hearts

3rd person: It was the dawn of a new day as Brook was awakened by Lulun who was now in his care after the events that had transpired from odd things occurring at the school to their first encounter with the Unversed or one of many at least.

Brook: Good morning, Lulun.

Lulun: Let's go let's go-lulu!

Brook: You seem to be full of energy, let me guess it's because you get to play with Pollun?

Lulun: Yes, after searching for so long, we can finally spend time with each other like we did at the garden-lulu!

Brook: Don't worry you'll get to play with him just give me a moment to get ready and have some breakfast.

Lulun: Can I have some-lulu?

Brook: Sure, I don't see a reason why not.

As Brook got out of bed he then changed from his pajamas into a black undershirt and putting on his iconic hooded shirt, long pants and grey boots. After words he made both of them a plate of pancakes that the two very much enjoyed and off they went to Akanes takoyaki van as they arrived Lulun then dashed to were Pollun was and started playing with him leaving Brook to chat with Hikari and Honoka until Nagisa showed up, as she arrived Nagisa wondered what what wrong with Pollun as he looked exhausted.

Hikari: He's been with Lulun constantly since yesterday, he looks completely worn out.

Mipple and Mepple then reverted themselves bet to there original forms and hoped up the bench.

Mipple: It doesn't look like she wants to leave Pollun's side-mipo

Mepple: Guess Pollun knows what it's like to constantly babysit someone-mepo.

In that moment Lulun was tugging on Pollun's right ear but after a few seconds he got up with an eritaded look on his face.

Pollun: I've had it-popo!

Lulun then started to tear up and eventually broke done crying but as if on que, Brook walked over, picked her up and started comforting her calming her down and to the surprise of the others it actually worked as she had calmed down somewhat.

Nagisa: Wai-How did you do that!?

Brook: Do what?

Honoka: You got Lulun to stop crying...

Hikari: And all you did was pick her up and comfort her.

Brook: She's just a toddler, right? I just figured it would work.

Nagisa, Honoka and Hikari(mind): Now that we think about it...

Meanwhile at the mansion the armored warriors of the dark zone and the Lost Shadows talk amongst themselves in preparation for there next assault.

Dark Mage: So, another resident of the Garden of Light has entered the fray?

Circulas: Yes, with no question.

Uraganos: And it's not one of those heartial things?

Circulas: No, bigger than them.
