The Churchill began moving to the rocks to try and destroy the enemy ship.
Saiko: General Quarters. General Quarters. All hands man your battle stations.
Everyone got into their designated positions. Mario and the others discussed what they were going to do once the ship got there.
Mario: I need to know when we round this point if we can hold her tight. Around Rockford here.
He circled the town. In the armory, a sailor opened the door revealing a few torpedoes.
Mario: There's a brutal current here.
He circled an area inside the circle.
Tari: It'll take a miracle to keep her off the rocks.
A gunner loaded the five-inch while the torpedo tubes were being prepared.
Mario: SMG4, is it possible to keep her afloat?
SMG4: I mean, it's not impossible, sir, I can try but I don't know if-
Mario: Can you do it, yes or no?
The Churchill was still steaming for the shore with the Nintendo ship close behind.
Saiko: Contact is several miles out and closing fast.
SMG4: Yes sir I can do it.
A few sailors were getting handheld guns ready.
Mario: Meggy, I know you haven't exactly fired a gun in a while, but how good is your aim?
Meggy: Still pretty good.
Mario: Good.
Meggy: Red, could you be my partner in this.
Mario: Why me? Shroomy's better at this than me.
Meggy: I know but... I guess I just need someone I've known for a long time.
Mario: ...Alright.
Finally, the destroyer reached the shore.
Sailor: Alright, let's start this turn! Left hard rudder!
SMG4: left hard rudder, aye sir.
The ship began turning and getting dangerously close to shore
Officer: How we looking?
Ensign: All green, sir.
The ship began to straighten out.
Sailor: 4, you're way too close. Come left, come left!
SMG4: Easy.
He looked up nervously.
Sailor: We're about to kiss these rocks, 4!
The props began to slow to avoid damage. Even so, the still scraped against the rocks. Meggy and Mario locked and loaded with M82 sniper rifles as the sun came up. They took their positions on the bow.
Mario: So, you really think I can aim just as well as you?
Meggy: Well, technically I did teach you everything I know back when we were training for Splatfest.
Mario: *chuckles* Yeah, that's fair.
SMG4: How 'bout now?!
Officer: Still a little tight!
The props were still scraping the seafloor.
Sailor: I can see fish, 4! Come on, man!
In CIC, Saiko was still monitoring the ship's position.
