Diluc quickly walked down the halls of the large college campus, a freshman could certainly get lost here without a doubt, but luckily Diluc has been studying here for awhile, he was freshly a senior. Only so little more to go until graduation, he can get through it most likely.

His eyes scanned the halls in boredom, his eyes darting over the valentines decorations, he didn't quite understand why this season was so important to people, only people desperate enough for love waste their time here searching for it.

Why should he even bother wasting his time on love. People leave in the end. no doubt about that, And i don't think many people can change his mind on that opinion.

With a sigh he just moved on with his walk to class, he was going to be late, and not late because he spent his time scowling at pathetic mistakes of other people.

He walked down the large hall located on the east side of the campus, the large windows showed the blossoming green trees and grass. the body of water outside unfreezing with the changing weather.

He walked up to his class door, the same class he had last year.. great.. he turned the silver knob of the door and walked in, his eyes looking around and scanning the room filling with students, varying from freshmen to seniors. freshmen desperately trying to sit with their fellow friends, seniors just genuinely waiting for graduations, sophomores realizing just how much they regret college, and Juniors giving up on really trying to make it to next year with good grades.

He knew some people in this class, his eyes scanned the room until he landed on his close friend, Jean. a medium height young woman with blonde hair, and blue eyes. she was the type of person Diluc could withstand for the longest time. not that he was overly rude to everyone. just didn't.. really didn't like being around all these people. especially such insufferable people as his classmates.

He walked up to where she sat and looked down at her. "May i sit here?" He asked her as she looked up from her notes and smiled small. she found Diluc and her to have a mutual friendship, but not something they've ever really talked about. "Of course Diluc, You always do. i still don't understand why you ask each time." jean said as she gestured to the vacant seat by her.

Many books were stacked on her desk, It wasn't out of the ordinary for Jean to carry many things for her studies, or as she calls them, her 'duties'. she can't stand  not taking a task of any kind not serious, even if it was so simple. simple enough as helping someone find a cat.

"I always do, It's the proper thing to do." Diluc calmly said as he sat down on the seat and rested his bag down. he looked ahead at the board, even if he was stoic and s when suddenly Jean quickly nudged his side. "Diluc.." Jean whispered softly with urgency. "What." Diluc looked down at her with a unamused expression.

"Lisa's early.." Jean stated her voice barely above a whisper as she put her chin in her hand, looking from where the two sat in the college class, Lisa had walked into the class carrying a few books against her chest, and quickly walking to her seat as their teacher walked into the class a few moments behind her.

Diluc rolled his eyes and looked at his friend as she stared at Lisa, admiring her from afar. "Seriously Jean?" Diluc said with a sigh. "What do you even see in her?" Diluc asked, he couldn't see why Jean would be head over heels for Lisa? I mean it wasn't like he hated Lisa, he appreciated the effort she put into studying and being just a good student in general, but.. He was genuinely curious.

Jean sighed contently. "What could i not see in her? I mean.. she's really pretty.. but i guess I'm getting ahead of myself? I mean i still have to focus on my studies. But it's getting harder to just.. not focus on her" Jean admitted with slight helplessness. Diluc looked to jean and back at Lisa. he didn't understand why Jean chose to fall for someone. he had half assumed someone like Jean would avoid romance. but i guess he shouldn't jump to conclusions?

the teacher began his lesson, loudly speaking about what he found to be good enough to acknowledge and teach to a class full of students.

Diluc thought about how to respond and he grumbled something incoherently before sighing. "You like her. huh?" Diluc asked, already fully knowing the answer. Jean looked down at the notes in front of her and nodded. "i.. I guess so.." Jean responded with a small tap of her finger against the desk.

"And.. I'm guessing your going to go sit next to her and be awkward?" Diluc questioned, clearly unamused. "Yeah.." Jean glanced up at Diluc. "Oh my.. Just get it over with already." Diluc stated and looked back at the board. "But i can't! You realize how much i could mess this up, i mean i study too much to be able to be good for-" Jean was rambling about this, when her sentence was cut off by the sounds of someone's sweet voice coming from beside Jean.

Diluc looked at the source with a face of pure annoyance, all he wanted was to get through his classes for the day, the class had barely started.  and now he can't even get through a simple class without something getting in his way.

"Speak of the devil.." Diluc muttered in a unamused tone mixed with a stoic expression
