His heart pounded against his ribcage, his head felt as if it had been slammed against the wall multiple times.

His cheeks burned bright red as his pale hand rested on his face, his Aqua green eyes focused on the empty spot on his bed beside him.

There he sat alone, there Venti sat alone in his dorm room, mind mind replayed the night of his drunken actions on loop for minutes on end, his heart felt as if it were fracturing multiple of his ribs.

His pulse wasn't at a healthy rate.

"Oh my god, what was i thinking!" Venti exclaimed loudly but quickly shut his mouth tightly, realizing if he were too loud someone could hear him from the hallway, he quickly looked around the room, any evidence that Diluc was actually here.

And it wasn't some alcohol induced dream, he knew that for a fact when he saw Diluc's coat hanging from the chair against his desk covered in useless things he enjoyed.

His heart was beating against himself as he replayed the memory of kissing diluc on end, he didn't care if he would never feel it ever again. He just wished he could feel it when he was sober rather than drunk.

His heart was fueled by joy, excitement, and sadness. He knew deep down Diluc was too good for him, too perfect for someone of Venti's likes, all Venti was, was simply a boy who loved alcohol to shove his feelings away.

He thought that of himself, and thus he didn't realize just how perfect him and Diluc were for each other.

And he would only figure it out in the near future when he could learn to finally accept feelings of contentment.

With a shaky breath full of certainty and the need of his answer, his legs quickly sprung to life as he quickly got off his bed and rushed to change his outfit, he wanted to see, no.. He needed to see Diluc, he needed his answer. The one question he would be the one to ask since Diluc seemed to never ask it.

All he needed was to ask, 'Do you love me?' but those words were easier thought than said.

And the answer could either break or make his joy and peace, and the answer was entirely in Diluc's hands to chose what he would decide.

Venti just hoped to him silently that he could feel the same way Venti did.

His hands trembled with anxiety as he slid the ever disgusting looking tie onto his neck, he never thought it looked good with any outfits he could wear.

he quickly slid his socks on, nearly toppling over and hitting something as he quickly rushed to put his shoes on directly after. He didn't have time for anything else, he didn't care if he was early or late.

He needed to get out of his dorm and find Diluc, he knew if he waited any longer to tell Diluc what needed to be said, he would never say it ever.

immediately reaching out, his fair hand grabbed ahold of Diluc's coat before he opened the door to his dorm, he quickly looked side to side, glancing down and up the hall.

He if he heard correctly from Xiao when he asked, Diluc's dorm was all the way on the other side of the campus, which in his opinion was the best place to have a dorm, it had the best view.

He quickly shut, no.. Slammed his own dorm door and began quickly walking, a few students giving him an odd stare along the way, yes.. Venti was normally pretty hyper.

But the expression on his face was not joy, it was determination and guilt. Not a normal sight to see on someone like Venti.

But regardless of this he shoved aside any thoughts about anyone else and walked as quick as his legs could bring him to go.

His eyes were in search of the man he wished he could call his one day, but could he ever truly call him his?

Feelings were always an odd thing, for both males. Neither really believed in romance but Venti just put up acts of playful teasing and joy, meanwhile Diluc put up a facade of a stoic and calm man.

Both suffered deep down, Diluc lost his father and believed no one else could ever treat him with such kindness like his father did ever again, and Venti lost his close friend. And after since then drowned himself with anything to block his feelings away, believing he could never meet anyone who made him truly smile like his friend did.

But what if these two males were more similar than they realized? What if the two males were meant to find each other in broken states so they could fix each other with peace and love? Patience and kindness?

What if these two were meant to find each other and love one and another? What if they were like a lock and a key?

Only time could ever tell what the answers were for these questions, but Venti so dearly and desperately wanted to know such answers. He needed to know them before he put his heart out on the line, but his patience was running thin.

He was going to put his heart out there for Diluc to either cherish or harm, he didn't care anymore. He needed to find out if he should even bother with anything anymore.

He knew this was truly wrong, he knew it was wrong deep down for him to need Diluc so badly.

He knew it was odd for him to need so desperately to know if Diluc would ever love him like he hoped.
