"So, this is where venti wanted to drink?"
Diluc murmured to himself as he stared at a rather normal looking bar, from the while he's known Venti, he figured out Venti had a love for alcoholic drinks, despite most likely being rather lightweight. Or else that's how Diluc assumes, he just hopes Venti can handle his alcohol better then he initially thought.
His footfalls were quiet as they were drowned out by the sounds of everyone else around him on the streets, he was alongside some people.
The sun was at it's lowest point of the day, twilight reaching upon the sky and the stars slowly reaching up with open arms.
As the door opened the sound of faint soft music filled Diluc's ears, next to the sounds of pool being played and loud laughter of some drunk fellows happily enjoying their drinks and time with said friends.
His red eyes scanned and danced around the bar as he looked for most likely the shortest male in this bar, and surely after he walked around some, just as he was about to pull out his phone and give Venti a quick text of some sort. His eyes widened and his flight or fight kicked in when he felt a pair of arms wrap around his torso and squeezed him.
But then he felt his senses slowly calm down as he realized just who was behind him, judging by the sound of the laughter that came from behind him, it was easily recognizable for Diluc to know who it was. None other than the boy he was trying to find, Venti himself.
With a soft yet playful giggle, the smaller spoke up. "There you are, i swear you're trying to avoid me more and more recently." Venti stated, his voice laced with a true hint of playfulness and energy, it felt like Venti had been waiting for awhile with anxiousness. Though, from the time they've known each other, Diluc realized Venti is quite good at hiding emotions behind a facade of a playful and silly attitude.
"Hm.. Why? I'm not one for just leaving suddenly." Diluc stated. But he knew that was a half truth, if it were.. say, Jean who was doing this, he would've simply not come to the bar. Especially since he doesn't have a taste for Alcohol nor the tolerance to be around people every second of his life.
"Awe~ Such a romantic!" Venti teased with a grin as his slim arms gave Diluc's torso a single squeeze before retracting his arms back to his sides. Diluc slowly turned around and crossed his arms over his chest. Raising a single eyebrow at his remark.
"Romantic? What do you mean by that" Diluc questioned with curiosity. Earning his a sigh and playful smile. "Don't you know Diluc? Or are you oblivious. I guess you're just hopeless~" Venti stated with an attitude full of playful teasing.
"I'm not hopeless with anything." Diluc stated with certainty. "Uh-huh, and I'm six foot." Venti sarcastically said with a smile. "I doubt you'll ever be that tall, in this life that is." Diluc remarked.
"Wow Diluc, i didn't know you knew how to try to offend someone, but judging by how you act. I would've guessed you do it on the daily!" Venti playfully replied, a smile on those pink thin lips that Diluc's eyes always trailed down to whenever he looked at him.
"Wow, and i didn't know you knew sarcasm" Diluc stated in return, his tone laced with pure sarcasm as his eyes direct themselves back to Venti's face, awaiting his response and reaction.
"I tend to dabble." Venti grinned, putting one hand on his hip. "Surprising." Diluc noted. "I know right, so surprising that someone like me could dabble!" Venti's grin widened with each passing second.
"but anyway, enough chit chat. Let's enjoy some drinks!" Venti smiled widely and began walking to the front counter. Nearly leaving Diluc behind in the process. "Wait Venti." Diluc sighed and caught up to him.
"What's the matter? Can't keep up?" venti giggled and hopped up onto a bar stool and looked up at Diluc.
Diluc's eyes trailed down his body, starting at his head and ending at his thighs, his cheeks burned up and he turned around, clearing his throat as he pulled over a bar stool and diverted his eyes away from his body, or face for a matter of fact.
"I can keep up just fine." Diluc stated and put his hands in his lap. Venti must've noticed something was up, as he positioned his elbow against the counter and put his chin in his palm.
"What's wrong grumpy?" Venti asked with a smile. "Nothing." Diluc stated and looked away, god.. This was difficult. he couldn't stop thinking of Venti, but he also couldn't drink to distract his mind from said male. His eyes wanted to look at that beautiful body and those pink lips. To Admire him. But his body wanted something more. But his mind was the only think keeping him somewhat still.
Well, the best it could. But desire will always keep someone fidgeting and staring.
"Uh-huh~" venti hummed in response and looked at the drinks they had. "Watcha gonna get?" Venti asked him and glanced at Diluc's face, which was very noticeably growing more and more red. Making venti smile in amusement and humming happily as he looked back down to the drink selection.
"Probably a water, or maybe a grape juice." Diluc stated as he only took a single glance at the selection. Earning him a small pout from Venti, on those beautiful lips he admired this evening.
"Now that. Is absolutely zero fun! But oh well~" venti pouted. "Maybe you could also drink something similar to that, i don't want you getting drunk and me having to take care of you." Diluc stated with a unamused tone, but his mind and eyes told him a new story, he couldn't deny. If venti were to get drunk, Diluc unfortunately would be the first to be there to help. Though he could just blame being forced into it. His heart would want to tell the truth to him eventually.
"I won't get drunk! I'll only get like, one drink" Venti playfully smiled and waited for the bartender to walk by. "You promise me that?" Diluc sighed and glanced over to his face.
venti looked over to him with a smile, a genuine smile and eyes full of certainty. Diluc looked down to his lips when they moved as venti utter the words..
"I promise. And i don't break my promises"
