Ages ago, all the Four Nations lived together in perfect harmony.
That was, until the Fire Nation decided to ruin the agelong peace and prosperity of the world.
My mother told me that there was once an Avatar, the Master of all Four Elements. He could bend Water, Earth, Fire and Air to his will and had the power to bring about another age of peace and prosperity.
But when the time came for the Last Avatar to save the world... they vanished.
The war has wrecked the world for almost a hundred years and people are losing hope that the Avatar will ever come back.
My father joined the Earth King's Army when I was twelve. He fought valiantly... but he never made it back.
Before I fled and built a life for myself in the safest city in the world, my mother made me swear by her deathbed that I will hold out hope.
Because even though darkness and light may always be at odds with another... the light has won and survived all along.
So, after a hundred years, I hold the hope that the Avatar will return to save the world.
