"Doll, wake up we're here." I snapped my eyes open and saw the horrid building I called school laid out in front of me.
"Ughhh, okay let me down Dal." I was gently set down by Dally and looked around the schoolyard. There I saw the part of the gang that went to school and all my girlfriends talking with them, and a bunch of other Greasers and Socs gossiping about something, together too.
"Alright I'm gonna head out, you want me to drive you home after school?" Dally kissed my forehead.
"Yeah sure, my folks aren't home so that'll be fine by me." I grinned. Dally sauntered off happily as I made my way to the rest of my friends.
"Hey y/n, did you just see the breakdown Billy Roberts, the Soc had?" Two-Bit looked at me, eager to spill some gossip.
"Yeah so you know the linebacker on the football team, that Billy guy, he started screaming he'd kill us all out of the blue like five minutes ago and ran off." Cherry explained to me.
"No, I just got here. But what the hell is that guys problem?" I was confused. Maybe he knew too, that the Socs power and dreaded empire had started to crumble and he just couldn't take it.
"Well the bells are gonna be ringing soon. How about we escort you ladies in just in case if that nut job decides to show?" Ponyboy offered politely.
"This is why Ponyboy is gonna snag girls just like Soda once he stops keeping his head buried in books." Lou dramatically presented Ponyboy to the rest of us.
"Cool it Louise, don't be a cougar." Bow shook her head, chuckling.
"RAWR! I'm Louise, mothers lock your doors, or I'll snatch up your little boys, HISS!" Marcia held her hands up like claws and made us throw our heads back in laughter.
"She's not a cougar, she's too nice to be one." Johnny smiled.
"Johnny, there's plenty of women to choose from and you just had to pick these old hags." Steve sighed.
"Hey watch it Steve, they're my girlfriends. Plus, if anyone here is an old hag it's you Mr.Steve the Snaggletooth." I defensively stated, making Steve's face droop and everyone else to bust a gut laughing.
"Okay y/n, let's not at eight o'clock in the morning." Cherry patted me on the shoulder.
"Oi! I'll cool it when I get my pot of gold little leprechaun." I jokingly responded to Cherry while pointing at the green sweater she chose to wear along with her flaming red hair.We all kept on jeering and jesting till we got to our lockers and into our first class. I had mathematics first so I was easily bored and drowsy. I looked at the clock and saw only ten minutes had gone by, so I decided to kill time.
"Miss, may I please use the restroom?" I asked sweetly and innocently.
"Yes, y/n. Alright." The math teacher sighed as everyone else was doing their work. Suckers, I thought as I strolled off towards the bathroom. When I entered I saw one of my friends from a different group, Angela.
"Angie!" I cried out happily.
"Oh my god y/n, hey!" She squealed. Angela was Tim Shepards little sister and Curly's big sister, and honestly she was my favourite sibling out of the three. We started talking about school and home life until we heard what sounded like gun shots in the halls and yelling. We both froze.
"Angela, stalls, now!" I whisper-yelled. She nodded and we both got into one stall and stood on the same toilet seat. I knew what was happening, it was a shooting. There had been a spike in school shootings in America and I never thought we'd be the next school to go through it. I heard yelling, more shots. Less yelling, more shots. We both silently prayed for help and a few tears slipped out. When the shots grew distant, I peeked my head out of the stall.
"Let's go find a phone and call the fuzz or someone." Angela bravely stated in a quiet voice.
"Yeah, he's getting to the other wing of the school. We can dial in from the janitors closet or something. Though it's best we call the fuzz, I mean, this isn't gang related. I think our street credit won't be hurt if we call." I swallowed hard as I spoke. When we both roamed the hallways we saw at least five dead bodies, pools of blood, and bullet shells scattering the floor. The school was silent now, no noise, nothing.
"Y/n, c'mere. There's an open class. Let's use the phone there." Angela pointed to the detention room.
"Good thinking Ange, let's go." We hurried our way into the slightly ajar classroom door. We quietly shut and locked the door. But when we turned around a large switchblade was pointed at our faces. Angela began to scream but the hand of Two-Bit clamped her mouth shut. Behind him was the gang and all my girlfriends staring at us in relief and fear.
"You guys are okay!" I chocked on a sob hugged them all.
"Yeah, ole Two-Bit here got us all into detention. Saved us from the psycho out there. He knew to leave the door slightly open to the guy would think it was deserted." Bow gestured to Two-Big who was grinning ear to ear from pride of saving his buddies and a bunch of damsels.
"Have you guys called for help?" Angela released herself from Two-Bit.
"No, we couldn't risk the noise. You guys want to call?" Steve gestured to the phone.
"Yeah I'll call Tim. He's gonna have a price on the guys head as soon as he hears." Angela picked up the phone on the wall and started dialling. She looked confused, dialled again, and a wave of terror washed over her face. "The phone's dead." She whimpered. We heard footsteps approaching the door, and we all ran into the storage closet that was in the class and huddled together as we heard the door open. Ponyboy raised his fists and Johnny flicked out his blade as they protectively got in front of me and the girls. Steve held the doorknob shut and Two-Bit waited with his switchblade drawn. The footsteps circled the classroom, and finally we saw the shadow of a person under the door through the small space in between the door and floor. The door knob rattled while Steve firmly griped it. I looked to all the people around me to see the sweat pouring down their faces and the tears brimming their eyes. I quietly sighed in relief when I saw the pair of feet walk away and outside the door. Whoever it was shut the classroom door harshly. We all bolted out of the room and barricaded the door with desks.
"Wait, what if we broke out the window and ran to get the fuzz? We're on the ground floor so we'll make it out okay." Ponyboy pointed to the window which we most likely could all fit through.
"Yeah, yeah, okay. But how?" Steve scowled at Ponyboy doubtfully. I suddenly mustered up all my courage and grabbed a chair, and began hitting the glass brutally with it, breaking the window and gesturing at it to everyone who stood there in awe.
"After you." I said. One by one we all made it through the window and ran like hell towards the convenience store close to the school.
"Hello, we need to use your phone. There's been an incident at the school." Cherry blurted out to the guy working the cashier. He was hesitant when he saw the gang but with the rest of us he allowed Cherry to use the phone. Maybe ten minutes later, cops showed up to the school and an officer assisted us at the store. We were all checked for injuries and gave a statement of what happened and this and that. So the Soc guy who had a breakdown had actually gone home, stole his daddy's gun, and shot seven people. Three staff and four kids got hit and five of them died, two staff and three kids. The rest were in hospital. My parents were called and they said as long as I'm okay they'll leave me alone, Darry and Soda were there with Ponyboy in a heartbeat, Two-Bit's mom and sister came to get him, Cherry and Marcia went home with their parents after they profusely thanked the boys for keeping their girls safe, Steve's dad picked him up, and Bow and Lou left to go smoke weed or whatever. I had the fuzz call Dally and holy shit was he different. I waited outside on a bench and when I saw his red car pull up, he looked pretty rough. His hair was a mess, he had on his jeans and jean jacket without a shirt. I saw him and smiled gently but his eyes looked pained and loving at the same time.
"Doll, I-Jesus you scared me to death! I-I thought you were hurt or dead! God damn it, why'd you have to scare me like that?" He held me tight and when I pulled away to look at him, he was crying. I had made the toughest hood cry. He wasn't sobbing or anything but he let one tear slip and that was enough for me. I held his face in my hands and kissed him gingerly.
"Dally, I'm okay. Don't get so worked up, okay? I love you and I hate seeing you being a mess." I tried to bring light into the current situation.
"Fine Doll, fine. Its just...I care, alright? I like you. I l-love you." He muttered while looking to the ground. That was the first time he said I love you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and instantly smashed my lips against his, loosing control of it when Dally took over. "You really do have me in cupids chokehold, huh?" He said against my lips. I did nothing but smile against his kisses and murmur in agreement.
"Let's go home, Dally. Have some fun, y'know?" I pulled away and smiled with my lipstick smudged.
"Ooh you do know how to press my buttons." Dally growled as he eagerly pulled me into the T-bird he now called his. Let me spare you the details and cut straight to the chase, I had to wear a turtleneck and I couldn't walk the next day.AUTHORS NOTE: Helllooooo mi amigos so tell me how this is, sorry if I'm not writing smut I just can't bring myself to do it
