"Hey, Y/N." Darry squinted his eyes and studied me. He looked like he was gonna cry, to be honest. I mean I was like his little sister growing up so who could blame that big old teddy bear?

"Hey Dar-Bear." I got up from the couch and bear hugged him, to which he returned.

"Mama, who's he?" Abilene tugged at my pants. Darry seemed astonished to say the least.

"That, kiddo is your uncle Darry." Dally came up from behind us and ruffled Abilenes hair.

"Hey, kid." Darry beamed ear to ear and knelt down to eye level with Abilene.

"Are you Superman?" Abilene tilted her head cluelessly while everyone muffled a giggle.

"Nope, just your uncle Darry." He shook his head lightly.

"Yeah, you're right. You look more like a teddy bear." Abilene giggled and hugged him suddenly.
I laughed softly and saw my non-blood related big brother have tears sell up in his eyes.

"Okay someone has to say it, Darry's happy to have a break from his lousy kid brothers." Two-Bit blurted out obnoxiously.

"Let's be honest, who could hate that little queen?" Sodapop nudged Two-Bit in agreement.

"Alright, Superman. Im taking you and the boys out to Red Lobster, and you can't stop me." I quickly saved Darry from crying on the spot. He really was happy to have something pure in his life, or maybe it was because he grew up too early and she reminded him of his lost youth, I'll never know.

"Red Lobster?" Darry's jaw dropped and his eyes went wide.

"Well, Dar. She's one cool broad who can pay so why not?" Dally cooly shrugged and winked at me flirtatiously.

"It's her money, Darry. Let her do what she wants, she is a fully grown woman after all." Johnny pitched in, thankfully. Johnny always had my back.

"Oh alright, just this once." Actually I took the whole gang out a total of 30 times that very year but he didn't know that.

"We can take maybe two more people in my car, Darry can you use your truck?" I began to plan the transportation as everyone got ready to go.

"Yeah. So Pony, Soda, Steve, you guys are with me. Johnny and Two-Bit, you're with Y/N and Dally, and Abilene." We all got into our respected cars as we drove to the only Red Lobster we knew of. It was quite nice, actually. But the boys looking all rugged kinda threw the vibe off.

"Phew! Steve it smells like your ex girlfriend in here." Two-Bit cackled suddenly.

Darry shot daggers at him and gestured to a clueless Abilene who barely even heard what he said.

Thankfully, a waitress seated us seconds later in a booth, where Abilene sat in between Steve and Ponyboy, leaving Dally seeming pretty down.

"She's just sucking up so Steve can give her more Twinkie's." I whispered into his ear, trying to soothe the nerve of him not being as close to his daughter as he'd wished to be.

"Still, man. It's my kid... I had a shit relationship with my pops so if her and I don't get along I'm gonna go nuts." He mumbled only audible for me to hear.

I gave him a pitiful look before planting a kiss on his cheek and placing a hand on his thigh, giving him a comforting squeeze.

"Darry stop squandering over the menu for the cheapest thing and just pick what you want." Ponyboy sassed at Darry, who was nearly breaking into a nervous sweat over the menu.

"Oh come on, Darry. I've got it, just relax." I reassured him as well.

Darry signed and began to slowly calm down, which I smiled to.

Dallas noticed me smiling and wrapped his arm around me before kissing my temple and whispering in my ear. "Do you know you're still hot as hell even after all this time?"

I blushed profusely to the point where I had to hide my face behind my menu while he whispered all sort of out of pocket things into my ear while no one payed attention to us.

"Mama, what's a Margarita?" Abilene scrunched her nose in confusion, taking me back to reality.

"Something that's for adults only, honey. It's got alcohol in it." I didn't have to go into too much detail with Abilene, she was a smart girl.

"Hear that uncle Two-Bit? You should get it, see if it's as good as your beer." Abilene cocked an eyebrow at Two-Bit, who had snuck a beer into the restaurant.

"Nah...Too much money." He shut down the idea.

"Alright, give me the skinny. Why do y'all think I can't afford this?" I was confused, I had money, I told them that and made it clear, why were they being such tightwads?

"Well we don't wanna spend too much, y'know? Etiquette and all that jazz." Steve was careful with his words.

"Plus you got a lil one to take care of, and that's gonna cost you." Darry quickly added on.

I gave Dally an 'is this really happening?' glare to which he shrugged and spoke up on my behalf.

"Alright listen, the doll does what she wants and besides, she's got me to help her out. I got some good money too, military pay." He clarified, his tough side showing just as it did when we were teenagers.

"Jesus, and I thought it would be the end of that side of you." Ponyboy muttered under his breath.

Well, the meal went fine. I payed, we left. Everyone was happy, or so I thought.

"Goodnight mama, goodnight daddy." Abilee yawned as Dally and I tucked her in.

"Night, baby. Sweet dreams." I kissed her forehead, while Dally opted for a hug.

When we finally got ready for bed, Dallas dropped an unexpected bomb.

"Doll, you gotta visit your dad tomorrow." He spoke suddenly.

"See him, why? I mean sure he's my dad, but he sent me away. He screwed my life up, and he wouldn't even visit me or talk to me. I had to speak to him." I huffed while crossing my arms.

Dally sighed. "Baby, I saw him and promised him that I'd get you to see him before he kicks the bucket. He ain't got much time left..." Dally rubbed my arms as he stood in front of me with a sad face.

"Fine...but I don't want Abilene to see him. She doesn't like her grandparents, she's scared of them, got it?" I released a breath I had been holding.

He smiled at me and kissed my lips gingerly with a slight smile. "I always get what I want, babe. You know that? I wanted you, I have you. I want you to see your old man, you're seeing him tomorrow.  It's kinda funny, you know that?"

"Uh huh. And what else do you want?" I poured seductively while looking up at him with doe eyes.

"You." He breathed before gently laying me onto the bed.
